The Lord of the Rings – Balrog 8″ Scale Figure
This is a limited articulated plastic action figure designed in dynamic pose. The idea behind the design is not to let the articulations destroy the esthetic presentation of the perfect sculpture, the designated articulations allow the collectors to turn the head or swing the arms and also maintain the expressive look as a whole.
Balrog stands about 8” tall, in additional to the flame and wings it is approximately 11” tall in total.

These are the most beautiful pieces of art I’ve ever seen. I almost hate looking at them, knowing I can’t afford them, nor do I have the space. That does not stop from looking though.
This looks pretty good and I'm okay with limited articulation on something like this. That seems like a good price too. I'd like to know what their accompanying LOTR figures will look like. I wasn't feeling the current Diamond Select figures.
As someone who's never dealt with Asmus before, what are the odds this will be in scale with anything else they do with the license? Like a dio or something
I wonder what the points of articulation are? It doesn't look like the arms or legs move.
I would almost guarantee they'll do a Gandalf because it would go so well.

So you don't think they'll do anything in scale with the Balrog?
(products and procedures to increase one's beauty or aesthetic is an esthetic. It's a beauty industry term. It can be confusing, like effect vs affect, but there is a difference and it's the job of the people writing copy to know these things)
(Also, what's up with all the people who say "ess-tet-ik"? There's a "th" right there no matter how you spell it

There was no chance they’d ever make this in 1:8 scale so an 11 inch will have to suffice. I’d like to see some ‘in-hand’ pics before picking it up.
