Spawn Deluxe 7″ Action Figure – Redeemer
The Redeemer is considered the Anti-Spawn, heaven’s equivalent of Hell’s Hellspawn. A powerful religious warrior infused with heavenly matter and purpose to be a durable loyal warrior of God. A mysterious organization known as The Ethereal Masters chose worthy mortals to be the host of the Redeemer and transform into angelic warriors to battle Hell. Unfortunately the Redeemer typically retains no knowledge of their mortal lives even if they return to the mortal realm. However the current Redeemer Eddie Frank not only retained his memories, but fueled by his rage towards the Hellspawns made him the most powerful Redeemer to date.

After not being able to get the land by traditional means, Ed Kemper slaughtered Jeremy’s family and framed Jeremy for their murders. Jeremy was hanged for the crime without a trial, but Mammon, demon of wealth and greed and one of the seven princes of hell, came to him when he was close to death and promised him the power to enact his revenge on Ed Kemper. Jeremy agreed and was transformed into a Hellspawn and killed everyone in town except for one individual asked by Mamon to spare. This individual would be the ancestor of Al Simmons. When Jeremy’s job was complete he descended to hell.

Spawn Deluxe Set – Clown
The Clown, a short, obsese, ugly clown with rotting teeth and a blue mark in the shape of an M on his face, is the alter ego of The Violator. Dubbed his secret identity and human disguise, he uses this ruse to walk among the humans to avoid detection. Though Violator has shapeshipping powers to be able to turn into anything he would wish, Violator has such distaste for humans, he shifts into this putrid form to mock them because he sees them as disgusting, pathetic, and weak.

Spawn Deluxe MEGA Figure – Violator
Eldest of the five siblings known as The Phlebiac Brothers, Violator is a powerful demon of hell who worked for Malebolgia. Able to shape shift, possess humans and animals, as well as an array of other powers, he was sent to earth in order to train Al Simmons when he became a Hellspawn. Violator however likes to do things his way and often antagonises, manipulates, and gets in the way of Al Simmons on every possible occasion. To even to his own detriment of being at odds with Malebolgia and his brothers, Violator is self serving and vindictive and a major pain in Spawn’s ass.

Hopefully violator has better articulation than the statue shown. Raven spawn looks pretty sweet.

For $40 I'm assuming Clown will come with a ton of accessories and alternate parts. Also I understand that classic lanky Violator would definitely have stability issues as an articulated figure, and probably breakage issues too, but I am not liking buff Violator. Part of the character's appeal for me was his unnatural appearance, he had spindly limbs but a huge head so he looked emaciated which was in contrast to his actual demon strength. This new design looks too much like a Pinky from Doom.
I always used to think that Clown and Violator were one character, but as I got older and more into the comics I understand that they are not. These are cool figures.
Didn't mark them all, assume there will be some head movement, maybe butterfly action at the shoulders. One foot has the heel off floor, so it may have a toe bend too.
McFarlane still doesn't have rights to do a new Angela figure right? It's too bad these are in 7" scale and the Marvel Legends version of her won't fit in with them
Apparently in the comics Violator changed into what is called "Demon Violator" thus the horns curling forward instead of out to the sides and the more massive body, That is what this figure is as to represent his Current form. Will still need to see him in person to justify the 50$ price. As well as Clown to justify 40$ for a figure that is half the size of the 25$ ones.
Oh I definitely want that Violator. He'll fit right in with the 4 inch Spawn I've got in the works.
Clown hopefully isn't real a 7 inch figure.
Violator's looking a lot chunkier than his original incarnation.
McFarlane Toys Spawn's Universe Pre-Orders - The Toyark - News

there is a "Spend $100 get $24 off toys" coupon on the Target site right now too- get 'em all and get one for free
Here's a little frugal shopping tips for all of you. That discount applies to multiple orders.
Example: Put in Violator, Redeemer and Gunslinger, subtotal comes to $99.97, discount of $28.75 (with Red Card 5% discount), I paid $75.49 for all 3.
Only want Violator? If you don't mind a little walking, place that same order, then when you get the shipment, return the Redeemer and Gunslinger, you'll get 1/2 ($37.75) back, that means you paid $37.75 for Violator (25% off).
The discount applies to many other things as well. I just reordered the set of AoA X-men, got the $25 off, then went and canceled my previous order.
Thanks for the heads up / idea Cyclopswc. I just cancelled my Hasbro Pulse AOA preorders and preordered them from Target with the $25 off. Score!
As a figure on its own I kind of like how this Clown came out but I don't care for his big weaponized backpack, though it is a fun callback to his second figure. I'll wait and see if I can catch him on a sale down the road.
So Gunslinger's a Target exclusive now? Just great. Target has been the bane of toy collectors lately.
I want to know where the black and silver Redeemer is going to be?? Some say Platinum Chase variant, some say Gold Label Wal Mart exclusive??? I hope the latter as I want 2 to flank regular Redeemer as Angelic backup.
