Today we are taking a look at the next ThreeZero Robo-Dou figure – Shin Getter 1 from Getter Robo Armageddon. Robo-Dou takes the DNA from smaller Transformers DLX scale figures and applies it to other lines. Robo-Dou has been very focused on Japanese anime mechs, giving beloved properties that may not have big reach in the west some high quality items. So far we’ve had entries from Patlabor and Evangelion. Shin Getter 1 is from Getter Robo, an anime/manga that influenced almost all other mech based series since it’s launch in 1974. The brand has gone through numerous relaunches and alternate continuities. A semi recent anime is Getter Robo Armegeddon from the late 90s which stands on it’s own and has tight action packed story with great visuals throughout. I ran through it pretty quick last week and enjoyed it. ThreeZero has redesigned the mech for modern times along with the creators based on it’s look from this series. This version seen here is also the metallic variant version of that redesign.
It’s set to drop in 3rd quarter 2021 and is available for pre-order now at ThreeZeroHK.com and select retailers. ThreeZero was kind enough to send it through a bit early to check out. Read on for over 50 HD images showing what it can do!
