Tomb Raider - Lara Croft The Lost Valley Statue by Weta

For such an iconic action series, I'm surprised all we've ever gotten is statues and only ONE action figure (A Play Arts Kai) of Lara.
Wow! I love it
Looks amazing (and is a classic moment from the series) but $1499 it totally bonkers for that scale.
Looks really good and I am definitely considering it being a fan of this version of Croft. Just have to decide on that price point since that is certainly up there lol.
I think the reason for lack of figures in recent times is that the reboot Lara design never caught on as much as the original.
Yea, it is a bit high. BUT, then again, it does also have two 1/4 scale raptors.... So then the price seems kind of fair with say $600 for Lara and $450 each per raptor?
There are plenty of NECA and Playmates figures for her old design. Also, there are TWO PAK figures (one for 2013, and one for Rise of Tomb Raider), though the second one was a big let down. There are also unlicensed one sixth scale figure versions of her as well.
I think the reason for lack of figures in recent times is that the reboot Lara design never caught on as much as the original.
Looks great. Obviously the quality is there, but $1500 is too much. Ideas and designs look great on paper, but when you decide to make it into a 3D statue, all those "do we really need these or this?" features, only serve to inflate the price. Size of base and not one, but two dinosaurs, seems unnecessary to me.
