Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters - Mezco 5 Points Box Sets

Holy cow! These are awesome ! Sold!
These look really screen accurate, I will however defer to DR.Kain on that thought. Lol.
My jaw is stuck to the floor. What a fantastic idea. Lifelong Godzilla fan here to say these look incredible. Never pre-ordered anything so fast in my life. Sculpts all look on par with Bandai's 6" vinyls, if not better.
I know they say XL but I really wanna know what the exact scale is here
I could moan about the price, but it's irrelevant in the end. Either I'll pay what they want or I'll go without. And going without is not an option.
Man, I was looking forward to what Super7 ReAction Godzilla series might look like. I know they'll have a retro/vintage look and feel. But I had no idea Mezco had gotten a license too. Well, who needs retirement money?
So much Godzilla goodies, so little time.
All over this set! I love getting so many monsters in one pack and also all scaled to each other.
Unexpected and awesome. These look way better than Super7 Reaction figures and are reasonably priced given all the accessories.
Does rodan have 2 or 3 heads? 2 according to the summary, 3 according to the pics. Either way, I may be the only person on this thread really struggling to justify the price.
I'm confused about Rodan as well, not gonna lie one of the selling points for me was what looked like a "flying pose" head.
Given that the loadout shot shows two heads...I'm hoping he comes with both.
How bout Manda & the spider who's name escapes me at the moment.
I went with BBTS. They were $5 cheaper a set.
Those are pretty awesome looking. IF Ghidorah was like an inch or two bigger I would definitely buy these.
Just FYI
I'm not gonna lie.
I had no idea anything like this was on the horizon other than thinking "It would be nice if they could do this with Godzilla" when I saw their Ultraman set.
And these are better than I could have imagined when I imagined that.
I'm not entirely sure I'm not dreaming this.
These are 4.5 inch scale.
In the movies, Godzilla was 50 meters and Ghidorah was 100m, which means he should be double Godzilla's size. Only having him be .5 inches bigger means he would be no more than 65m to scale, if that.
Gonna get really nerdy here.
Toho states Ghidorah's "official" height in the Showa movies is 100m. But on-screen there is no way he is TWICE as big as Godzilla. It wasn't until the 91 movie where his real towering height became realized.
So technically, a 65-70m Ghidorah makes sense in scale.

His middle head here has to be at least an inch taller than Godzilla, but his wings make him even taller going by them.

I’ve been waiting for a baby Godzilla for a minute now... but this would be my first mezco purchase. These worth the price?
Nice set...
for the Goji Collectors
Add these to the list of toys I would’ve loved to have as a child. Zapping through the TV on Sunday to find out if that one channel happened to air one of the old Godzilla flicks and then spend the rest of the day outside playing with my dinosaur toys after watching it was the best.
As cool as these are, I think I have to pass. I don’t really feel like spending 160 bucks on both sets combined and I have no place to display them anyways.
However, hear me out Mezco - please make either Godzilla himself or one of his buddies in fully articulated form. The Mezco King Kong figure from 2018 is one of my favorite pieces in my entire collection still.

NECAs were/are comparable to Monsterarts considering the price. An Ultimates Godzilla will be at least $55 with their latest pricing, maybe more. The aesthetic has to be worth it for people to buy at that when they were buying NECAs for half that price or buying more detailed/articulated ones in Monsterarts for another $30-40.
