Three new Spinatures Mini Busts have been released by Waxwork Records, and we have an in-hand photo gallery. Their line of Spinatures are 4″ tall mini busts from a number of classic horror and sci-fi franchises. They can be displayed simply as collectible busts, or can be used as decorative record spinners that sit in the middle of a playing record. Previously, we’ve taken a look at both their Frankenstein’s Monster, and their Bride of Frankenstein. The newest releases feature Michael Myers from Halloween II, the Skeleton Masked Child from Halloween III, and the Politician Ghoul from They Live.
Our friends at Waxwork Records have sent over the Spinatures for us to check out. After the jump you can see a full photo gallery and my impressions of the latest round of mini busts.

Overall
Each Spinatures bust is packed in a small window box. The side features artwork of the specific character, while the back shows off the mini bust with some product photos and a bit of info. The busts sit in plastic trays held in by a plastic tie. The busts can be placed back into the boxes for easy storage or display. since the boxes are (so far) uniform, they can be easily displayed stacked on top and next to each other. The larger window allows you to showcase the bust while in packaging.
Sculpts on the Spinatures have been excellent so far, and these three are no exception. The proportions are a bit stylized, which hasn’t been for everyone. But I’m fine with it as I think they look pretty good in-hand. Sculpted details are sharp, with clearly defined textures in the fabrics, skin, masks, and hair. Paint work is handled well. Michael Myers has a number of blood splattered bullet holes, as well as bloody tears running down his mask. The Skeleton Masked Child has some great paint washes over his mask to bring out the bony textures. His Halloween costume has nice clean lines for the printed skeleton chest. The Politician Ghoul has crisp clean lines separating the red and blue of his alien skin, clean detail lines on his tie, and paint washes on the suit jacket. No real paint issues jumped out, and I didn’t run into any breakages.
As these are mean to be used with record players, there are small holes on the bottom of each Spinatures bust. Those allow you to place the bust in the center of a record while playing. They fit on with no trouble and don’t wobble ot jiggle around when a record is playing. These won’t add much weight, and can’t be used as replacement for dedicated turntable weights. These are purely decorative. You can check out a few gifs below showing them in action.
The Spinatures are priced at $24 each, which is a decent price for a roughly 1/9 sale bust. You can see some select photos below. and the full gallery after that.
