Is Hasbro unaware of how poorly Fortnite figures sell?
I see a lot of the Jazwares and McFarlane ones pegwarming or going to Ross.
Anecdotal evidence for both of us. The Jazwares figures are almost always bare in the multiple stores I hunt in.
The new Fortnite reveals have me more optimistic about accessories versus Jazwares figures.
The new Fortnite reveals have me more optimistic about accessories versus Jazwares figures.
Are all the preorders starting at 5 PM for everything they announce today?
The first wave looks great. My son also loves this stuff.
So Far Kingdom Rhinox and maybe Scorponok are what I want from beast wars
If anyone is curious, they only showed Power Ranger renders and said they didn't have photos of the unmasked heads. In package photos are on pulse. With the heads.
That was very much underwhelming all around for me.
Pretty bad that NECA announcing pre-orders for some TMNT stuff during Hasbro's presentation got me more excited.
Fortnite is a strange phenomenon in being one of the most popular, and yet simultaneously the most unpopular, thing ever.
It's a shame the stigma that comes with it, cause honestly the game has a lot of interesting character designs that lend well to being neat action figures.
Fucking FInally it only took 3 years

Disappointed Thor doesn't have a normal head.
These look nice, but so far only Riri seems a want for me.
It is just me or all this Fan Fest crap was very meh?
I mean, weeks of advertising to show more Iron Men?
No Venom figures, no Spider-man retro wave, almost no new characters. I’m glad I don’t pay for that useless membership.
What a lazy job by the Marvel team. We were supposed to get Toy Fair levels of reveals and we pretty much got one wave and a movie Thor that they should have made 2 years ago.
That Iron Man wave is laziness to the max and then they shove in a woke character that will not sell!
What do we have to do to get some comic based Thor characters? He has a whole world that is almost untouched by the Legends team that only wants to repaint Spider Man, Iron Man and Hulk figures.
Hoping the Haslab Fantastic 4 project is a Fantasticar. That would be epic.
They teased all 4 figures, which would is perfect for a Fantasticar teaser. If it was Galactus I think they would have shown the Silver Surfer. Plus Galactus is too big to make to scale.
More likely the Haslab Fantastic 4 item is Galactus, which many people have been hoping for.
Overall thoughts on the day:
Fortnite: Not my thing so I didn't care about the reveals.
Transformers: Rhinox and Scorponok are must gets. I'm hoping we'll get the first season crews from Beast Wars. Rodimus Prime looks cool but I'm not sure I want spend $80 to get him. Not much interest in the rest of the figures.
Power Rangers: Disappointed that the Red Sentry is a Target exclusive. The metallic Red and Yellow Rangers look cool but not sure I'm going to pick up any of them. At least not yet. I was hoping that we might see the rumored MMPR/TMNT figures but it wasn't to be.
Star Wars: It was nice to finally see the pipeline figures but I was hoping we would see more Black Series. TVC isn't really my thing and I didn't spot anything of interest to me.
Marvel: I like the Iron Man wave but 3 Iron Man figures seems a bit excessive for one wave. The Modular Armor is my favorite of the wave. Final Battle Thor looks great. Hopefully we'll see the rest of the Infinity Saga figures soon. I was happy to see more AoA. I don't care about it so it's a wave that I can skip. No real interest in the 3.75" figures or the role play items. For the Haslab item, it's probably going to be Galactus or a Fantasticar. My money is on Galactus though.
GI Joe: The winner of the day for me. The Snake Eyes Classified movie figures look fantastic. I'm really looking forward to Scarlett and Baroness the most out of them. I typically don't care about packaging but I loved the card art for the movie figures. I was a little disappointed that there weren't any proper Classified reveals but massively relieved that there weren't any Target exclusives revealed.
Overall: Not a 'break the bank' type of day like they advertised but still a good day for reveals. Maybe it's all their years at Cons revealing figures but the Legends team continues to put on the best presentations.
The new 6" Star Wars figures look great. Really liking Aurra Sing and General Lando. We need a ROTJ Nien Numb now to go with Lando! The Blue Leader X-Wing from Rogue One was probably the biggest surprise for me, and I'm very happy Hasbro is FINALLY doing some repaints of the Luke X-Wing helmet instead of repainting Stormtrooper/First Order Trooper/Boba Fett helmets over and over. Hopefully a Biggs helmet will come soon after this Wedge one.
Holy shit those Fortnite figures look SO GOOD.
The unique sculpts and extra articulations really make them stand out compared to say our standard ML bucks. And the variety of accessories and whacky addon packs like that shark looks so fun. We really need more of these fun figures that can pretty much fit into any display. I guess Fortnite's popularity is a real blessing here afterall.
If Haslab makes a Fantasticcar and not Galactus the sales will drop so much from the Sentinel that it will be years before we get another Haslab Marvel project.
