DC Multiverse – Flashpoint Batman Unmasked Variant Pre-Order

Posted on March 15, 2021 at 11:22 am by Joe Moore under DC Toy News

DC Multiverse Flashpoint Batman Unmasked 006

The DC Multiverse – Flashpoint Batman Unmasked Variant 7″ Scale Figure is now up for pre-order on Target.com. The figure is an unmasked variant of the Flashpoint Batman which was released last year. It features a comic inspired Thomas Wayne head sculpt, a sword, and two pistols. It’s priced at $19.99, and will be released on April 18, 2021. Check out some details below, and the new official images after the jump.

In an attempt to alter the course of history, The Flash traveled back in time to save his mother’s life. This, however, resulted in the crisis-level event known as Flashpoint, rippling across time and changing the world as we knew it for the worse. In this alternate timeline, Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne survived their deadly encounter in Crime Alley years ago, but their young son Bruce was killed instead. Driven by the death of his son, Thomas became Batman—though, this Dark Knight is far deadlier and more ruthless than the vigilante hero his son would have become.

– Flashpoint Batman is based on the comic book Batman #22 (Comics 2017)
– Flashpoint Batman is featured with an unmasked head
– Flashpoint Batman comes with two blasters, Amazon Sword, and a base
– Includes collectable art card with Flashpoint on front, and character biography on the back

    I think Todd likes Batman.

Needs a heavy 5 o’clock shadow to suit my taste- and would also just look like a beefy Jeffery Dean Morgan if I had my way. He’s all I see when I think of Thomas Wayne Batman now.

I actually want this one. It looks surprisingly hoid.

Know its probably a poor angle, but face sculpt looks a bit like a Team America puppet. Agree with Chopper, I would want a scruffier beat look. Morgan is a good choice, I might go for something close to Mickey Rourke (not prime of course).

I don't follow the story, but the figure isn't too shabby.

@firmpulse It's from the Flashpoint comic, presumably a random Amazon's sword. Plays a very important role in the plot.

He beat the shit outta medieval spawn and ganked his sword then reforges it to look as it does.

I know nobody forces me to buy this, but aren't we past cheap variants of this kind? Why did he not just add an alternate head to the regular version, like about every other manufacturer does these days? I suppose the next variant will be a gold version? Hey, he can even make two gold variants now. 'sigh'

To get more money out of the unique body he sculpted. Every figure getting a new body is a nice idea in theory, but not the most economically feasible. We're already seeing repaints and head swaps to recoup costs.

Nope. Target can suck it. I’m done preordering from them. I have 3 preorders with them not due for a month or 2 and they hit my bank card once a week. The pre-auth stays for 4 days, then 3 days later they do it again. Every preorder from target I’ve had is either cancelled or I find it in store months ahead of when they ship to me. I only will order in stock items.

Walmart is just as bad with cancelling, in fact worse. I have had every Star Wars, ghostbuster and power ranger exclusive cancelled except for the flip-head red ranger....which is shipping to me now after cancelling the other 3 I ordered in that series.

Now I’m hoping against hope for the collector event today at Walmart isn’t a crap-show.

These brick and mortar stores have yet to master online services.

these constant money grabs are getting to be a bit much from McFarlane. instead of just packing this head with the original release they expect us to pay $27 more for a rehashed figure. im tired of it and will pass. and yes its $27 because local target will never carry it so have to have it shipped. if they can give oversized figures for the same price I don't think packing this extra head in would have been asking to much.

Don’t forget. Mcfarlane invented the “chase” figure. Honestly, wish I could go back to the 90s. But it’s 2021 and we live in an online world, not retail. Chase figures are obsolete.

Plastic and paint McFarlane has been using for DC stuff sure looks gummy/cheap. But so does Marvel select and SW Black.

Older McFarlane figures was super crisp.

Sadly cost plastic rose a lot this year.

Rehashed figure with just a new head and a sword plus it's an exclusive that you can only buy it in online stores at jacked-up prices? Nah.
