I have a feeling it’s for ultimates. This thing will be massive. I have no idea where I will place this. Of course that never stopped me before.

Oh man. If this isn't for the Ultimates line, I will throw things.

Last week or so, S7 teased a snippet of an older interview Brian Flynn did with Pixel Dan talking about how big an Ultimates Thundertank would have to be so yeah most likely it's for Ultimates.

Yeah, that was a definite tease for an Ultimates tank. I'll definitely be buying one if that's the case. I can see them also making a ReAction tank. They did a few of the beasts for MOTU ReActions and those turned out pretty damn cool. Plus, they're toy-color ThunderCats ReAction figures are so good. Would be nice to have a tank to go with them.

But yes, put me in the camp of wanting this to be a proper Ultimates tank.

I hope it's an Ultimates for you guys, I'm glad I didn't get in on this line so I didn't have to get this lol.

It would be huge for Ultimates and of course probably pricey. Not as interested in this since space is becoming an issue. Kid in me loves this, especially back in the day. I'd be real surprised if it had any gimmicks, I do miss those spring loaded shooting effects. If it was in a smaller scale with detail something like the HiyaToys ALiens APC, and at a decent-ish price I'd probably have to reconsider.

This is the only major vehicle for this line. I don't think I would want a Cat's Lair. It doesn't do much.

If only I had the space. I don't collect T-cats but that thing rocks!!! I bet there will be a lot of cool surprises in there.

I’m scared. I see up too $400 on this. That may be a bridge too far.

  12. ShabbyBlue has no avatar! ShabbyBlue says

    01-26-2021, 10:14 AM

Yeah for its size and electronics included, there's no way this sells for less than $400+. I'm guessing it's about 1.5 feet wide and 2.5 to 3 feet long.

With rumors of NECA doing a TMNT toon battle wagon too, this could be an expensive year for huge vehicles/playsets.

I don’t think that price could be successful.

They sold Snake Mountain out for $600, and resellers got even more before they all sold out too.

Us motu people are nuts though. You could put crap in a box and sell at as a one of kind motu figure and you’d have a bidding war.

Plus that was the finale piece so to speak for a line that went 12 years. Also one of the largest playsets ever made.

Thundercats has a following and probably growing as well. I still can’t see this over $300-400. I collect thundercats and I’d love this, but space is honestly a bigger concern at this point. I never in my dreams would have guessed all the gigantic playsets and vehicles that have been released for many lines over the last few years. Never.

That was also a much larger item than the Thundertank will be. $500 for a Thundertank would be nuts. Unicron, which is way, way bigger was $575.

Looks like I was right about the dimensions and price. It's $450. 27" long and 17" wide according to this new Twitter post:

    https://mobile.twitter.com/super7sto...22711970181122

Fortunately they are doing a payment plan like they did with Snake Mountain. I guess we'll get more detailed pics next week when it goes up for preorder. I'm curious about the interior details.

I assume it has electronics because of the light up headlights in the first teaser image. For this price it better have lights and sound FX and be able to transform/open up into its attack mode like the old toy. It hopefully has a nicely detailed interior as well if its able to hold 6 figures.

They also showed a Lion-O with light up eyes as a teaser image when they first got the license so don't assume anything lol.
It does seem like it does have a light up feature and articulation to open up tho. I wonder if it will come with a figure or something like that.

The item will have lights and probably tons of sounds and if you've actually seen the tank and what it can do, then this thing will expand and be bigger than what we see in the pics. It costs almost as much as Unicron, but it does a whole lot more than Unicron does. Some people seem to be confused and thinking a product's size has something to do with it. It has very little. It's what is packed inside it that makes it expensive. Kind of like the AT-AT from Rogue One 5POA line. It was $350-400 and simply because it could walk on it's own via a phone app. Oh, and it could shoot NERF missiles which is 90% of the cost right there.

Thundercats must be more popular than I realize. It's a cool ass tank. Damn. I don't know about that price tho.
