Man, they just reissued the Turtles, but perhaps people didn't get the set. I want some of the rare characters reissued. The villains pack is cool. What do they mean by "roto heads". Does anybody know?

It means they're rotocast which makes them hollow rather than solid casts.

Man Playmates is pathetic how many times you gonna reissue these damn figures. no wonder they are loosing to NECA and Super7

I preordered the turtle van set from sdcc through 2 different e-stres and both canceled on me. So I’m looking forward to this set. Both of them actually.

I'm all in on this, missed other reissues, and with these two packs, I'd pretty much get ALL the necessary characters in two (hopefully easy) purchases. The thing I have to think about is now this would be the 4th TMNT collection after the NECA Cartoon, Movie, and Super7 toy Ultimates.

But unlike the Star Wars retro figures that I bought, I really had pretty much all of these guys if my memory serves.

They're not losing anything. I can only imagine the deal NECA/Super7 had to make to put them out, Playmates is making money anytime a TMNT figure is sold since they own the license.

Yup, looks like playmates figured out the IP is worth a lot and they need not take the risk anymore.

    Anyone see these up yet?

I hope so dude. I hope we somehow see a scratch figure and perhaps some unreleased stuff.

If they're going to keep re-releasing the same figures, they could at least try to perfect the colors and get them right. The colors they've been re-releasing these characters in makes them look like parodies of the originals. All of them are too dark or too light. Donatello, Raphael, and Slash are the worst offenders. Get your $#*! together, Playmates. You're looking senile.

Good to know it wasn't just me. In fact, Megalopolis cancelled all of my pre-orders placed before January so I lost a whole ton of stuff that is expensive on the aftermarket. They didn't seem to care either. People have saying this about Mega...I didn't listen...

As for these playmates, it's messing with my mind, I want them but it seems excessive with the old collection I have. But I can't help buying. Even though like someone said, the paint apps and plastic colors are inferior to the originals. Delta team Donatello from the classics releases has way less paint and is a weird color compared to the original.

I really want "ORIGINS" style figs like these. But if they don't make them then I want these other ones I guess.

I was thinking Origins style figures would be cool also but then we already have Super7 doing updates of figures and I know they are expensive but I understand what you mean. Playmates kind of sucks with their TMNT stuff. Lots of people want stuff but they don't seem to be doing anything with it. I just don't get it. These re-releases are a good start but we will see if they do some unreleased figures or even a Scratch. They could do a Kickstarter even.

Those are all good points. I'd buy a Scratch most definitely!

I found PRE-ORDERS on Dorksidetoys.com and EntertainmentEarth.com for both sets.

Yeeeeah...I pre-ordered XD I don't know where this collecting is going or where it might stop. It's those turtles!!! I love'em!
In the back of my mind I'm thinking...well if the rotocasts are made basically 35 years later, they will live 35 years longer. Hmph.

I appreciate the candor. That is what I'm grappling with. Is it OCD or FANDOM? Sometimes I only seem to find out after I have bought the figure and have it in hand.

Most of the rare stuff from the old line like Scratch will never be reissued because the molds literally shattered.
