We are kicking off the 2021 galleries here at Toyark with a set for the Mezco Toyz One:12 Collective Popeye and Bluto Stormy Seas 2 pack. The One:12 Popeye has multiple releases. I thought it was well done and a nice non-traditional property for Mezco to use their One:12 platform for back when it was revealed in 2017. That being said, I didn’t give it much thought after that. Over time, as the first and second exclusive version trickled out to the masses I kept seeing really awesome shots on Instagram and around the web, realizing after it was too late that I missed a really solid figure. Luckily Mezco came through and released him again, this time in a 2 pack with his nemesis Bluto. I jumped at this one, and am happy with that choice. Both figures are well executed, you get all the pieces from previous Popeye figs plus some new ones, and Bluto is a massive chunk of plastic with great sculpt. Kudos to Mezco for putting it together and hopefully they keep going with more Popeye and some Olive Oyl down the road!

Our gallery for this set is up. Missed out on the first Popeye figs, so when this went up I grabbed it. Happy to have the grumpy sailor in my ranks. And Bluto is cool too

. Being on the docks, rain jacket, etc. That's what was in my head anyway.
Just used a spray bottle and continuous shutter mode. Take 100+ shots in a row, one usually looks good.
