As an Imperial commander, Moff Gideon has taken over control of a large chunk of the leftover Galactic Empire after the destruction of the second Death Star. He is secretive, cunning, and is determined to see the Empire return to its rule of the galaxy. He wields the Darksaber, a black lightsaber style weapon that belongs to the leader of Mandalore. He has been hunting the former Padawan child known as Grogu, who is in the care of the Mandalorian bounty hunter known as Din Djarin. Determined to use his blood in experiments that may involve cloning, Moff Gideon uses all of his resources to track the duo in the hopes of regaining possession of his prized asset.
Hot Toys has revealed their new 1/6 scale figure based on Moff Gideon. The figure will stand a little under 11.5″ tall, with about 30 points of articulation. The figure includes interchangeable hands, a Darksaber with swap out blades, a wired fabric cape, a pistol, and a figure stand. The figure is set for release between the Second and Third Quarters of 2022. Pre-orders should go live soon. Check out additional info and the new photos after the jump.

The Mandalorian - Moff Gideon Figure by Hot Toys

The likeness of Giancarlo Esposito is AMAZING.
I'm hesitant to buy any high priced collectibles from this show given how much stuff changes. Gideon has been interesting so far, but he may just end up being a flash in the pan in the longterm. Kind of like Krennic - good character, but not something I want to spend a couple hundred dollars for.
I like the figure a lot in general though, I think the sculpt is like 98% of the way there, there's something about his eyes/cheeks that are a little off, but obviously it's great overall.
I do wish it came with a light up saber arm and I wish the swinging blade had the crackling effect throughout the blade. But anyway, definitely going to order.
That's why Hot Toys should spend more time on the Original and Prequel Trilogies instead of working on the flavor of the month.

Even a one-off like Krennic is still an amazing figure to have with a group of Imperial Officers- I don't get how his one appearance makes him any less valuable to a display than Tarkin. The only thing that I have any issue with when it comes to my HotToys is the costume changes and upgrades between MCU movies... Not THAT is frustrating. lol
I'd probably put it as OT, Knights of the Old Republic and The Mandalorian as far as SW that is universally lauded.
Mando is definitely one of the top things EVER to have the Starwars brand on it... pre- or post-Disney. Mandalorian is not only great Starwars, it’s just a damn good show, period. Very high praise since I consider Starwars to be a mediocre franchise overall.
It easily tops the prequel trilogy, solo, and 7-9. If you binge watch it, it’s like a movie almost, and I’d put it at the top with A New Hope and Rogue One.
