NECA has shared an updated look at their upcoming Hatchet – Victor Crowley 8″ Scale Clothed Figure. The deformed killer (played by horror legend Kane Hodder), is accidentally killed by his father after kids painstakingly set his house on fire. Now he haunts the swamps outside of New Orleans, and is cursed to relive the night he was killed over and over, turning him into a deranged killer. The figure includes an axe, and a belt sander. The figure is currently scheduled for a January 2021 release. You can see the new photos after the jump.
“If you get close enough to the Crowley house at night you can still hear Victor Crowley crying for his daddy in the woods..”
After years roaming the swamps of New Orleans and claiming victims, the supernatural slasher and main antagonist of the Hatchet series, Victor Crowley makes his action figure debut in NECA’s 8″ Clothed figure line.
His gruesome head sculpt features rooted hair and the axe wound left by his father. Standing at approximately 8″ tall, Victor Crowley wears his battered overalls made with real fabric and is equipped with a belt sander, and double sided axe.

Toy Fair 2020 - Hatchet Victor Crowley 8-Inch Figure by NECA

I’m not familiar with this film, I’ll have to check it out. Reading up on his backstory made me sad. Having my own son, any story that has to do with a child gets me. Dang emotions. Anyway cool looking figure.
Just going off looks alone he seems to be a knockoff Jason Voorhees, how far off base am I?
Similar. Hatchet was meant to pay homage to 70's and 80's slashers. His backstory and reason for his disfigurement earn a bit more sympathy than Jason'

Not a fan of the Hatchet movies. I enjoyed some of the first movie - it has some really good kills, like when Victor rips an old woman's head in half at the jaw - but overall, like adcatalano said above, they're all basically just SyFy original movie-level of amateurish and inept film making.
I've never been into the Hatchet movies myself. It does have some fans, because I'd see them get asked on Twitter to do this guy. But it's not something I'm going to pick up unless they just send it.

The new hair looks a lot better on the production figure, and the head sculpt looks to have translated well from the hand sculpted one. I am curious how well this will sell.
After taking picks of the Toony Terror Victor Crowley, I decided to blow through the 4 Hatchet films. I had only seen parts 1 and 2 before. Still not much of a fan of the series, and part 2 is just abysmal front to back. But part 3 was surprisingly tolerable. But those gains were wasted on a really mediocre part 4.
Wow there's FOUR of these movies? lol
The figure looks good, I'm surprised they didn't do an Ultimate though with the amount of unique molding here, I mean what is it, just like the bottom torso and legs that aren't new? But I guess the hair on this looks pretty cool, if I was into the movie I'd grab this.
