Big one today! Running some catch up on the NECA Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Cartoon line. Normally this is in Joe Moore’s stable of shoots, but he tagged me in and I’ve run a whole chunk of recent releases for the line. I am one of the folks who never found Bebop and Rocksteady in person, even with trying, so after the first wave I kinda timed out. I was able to grab a set online when NECA put them up recently so I’ll be jumping back in down the road. These here today were Joe Moore’s, courtesy of NECA, so I kinda got to experience everything since wave 1 all at once.
I won’t go super hard into reviews as many of these have been out for a while. Overall though, I dig the toon based line NECA has been doing. I don’t need every one that drops personally, as TMNT was always farther down the line for me than Transformers or GI Joe. But I can appreciate what’s going on and glad that long time TMNT fans are getting deeper roster characters.

Overall thoughts:
It is a fun line. As a casual fan, everything does what it needs to for me to build out a little TMNT corner. Others have said it, and I agree, April’s original head was a tad better than what shipped. Other than that tho everyone kinda hits the mark. Good sculpts, above average range of articulation, and great paint head to toe. Accessories are also plenty for them all. The foot solider that comes with April is also well done, his robotic upper half is only attached by one single bendy wire, and it works. Nothing broke, it holds in place and can hold a pose in almost any position. Really cool feature. The topper for me was Bebop and Rocksteady tho, they ooze classic toon vibes and I can’t wait for my actual copies to show up here later on!

I'm thinking those boxes have to be doubles right? You didn't wait all that time to open them for that photo did you??? That would be torture lol.
All returned to the box and going back to Joe so he can continue the Turtles galleries in the future.
I remember hunting for Bebop and Rocksteady last year this time into Black Friday. And am still waiting for my actual copies to get here hehe. But at least an order is in, at this point I'm good waiting. My OCD gotta catch em all ASAP tendencies peaked and dissipated last year.
OH MAN! That really is torture. For you and the figures lol! Gotta jailbreak those babies for good.
Well thank you guys for the sacrifices. It just goes to show how much effort you guys put in behind the scenes with all this stuff. ALWAYS APPRECIATED.
A damn shame the distribution hampered our experience with these turtles. They are some of the best.
It'd be cool if you could actually buy these things.
