Time for a blast from the past with a set for two WWE Attidue Era legends – 30th Anniversary Undertaker and Decade of Domination Kane! I randomly pop into wrestling figure world, mostly for some good Attitude stuff. I was a kid in the 80s, but I still prefer the late 90s early 2000’s vibe with Stone Cold, the Rock, Taker and Kane, HHH in his DX and Game days, etc. Mattel has put out a couple solid figures recently for Undertaker and Kane, so we are giving them a run.
Undertaker is an Elite figure, packaged in a celebratory 30th anniversary box. He uses the TrueFX digi-print on the face this round which took pretty good engineering the line has always had, and adds that extra pop to really nail the total package. All his sleeves and tats are there, along with his streamlined but still evil look from later in the Attitude run. The jacket and hat are removable. The Jacket looks great on, but it does not move much. Not soft goods – which I like generally, but that stance you see him in the package, that’s pretty much it. Luckily with it off he’s still bad ass. Kane is in the Decade of Domination sub theme, doing superstars from the last 10 years of Mattel’s run on the brand. Kane also gets a TrueFX head sculpt, x 2 – one clean and bald, and one with the messed up hair and dirty face paint from the unmasking.
All in all they are great and are now chilling with my current display squad of Ultimate HHH, Slim Jim Macho Man, SDCC Mr. T, Brood Christian, Defining Moments Stone Cold. Wait how the heck did I start collecting Wrestling figures again, those tricky… Let’s see where this goes.
Both of these are exclusive to Walmart and are trickling out to stores now. Read on to check out shots of them both after the break courtesy of Mattel!
