DC Multiverse - Platinum Edition Batman and Deathstroke Bronze Figures

Why is Batman called a Platinum edition if he's bronze? Do words mean nothing anymore!?
What is the appeal of these? Does anyone really care about getting cheap looking gold spray painted versions of these figures?
These are chase variants, which is McFarlane's specialty. I don't see anything wrong with that, it gives those who are first to the box a "treasure" to find, and it helps McFarlane sell more toys.
These are pretty niche variants... It's not like they can be displayed along side any other figures. Would have made more sense to have like battle damaged versions. Add more weathering paint apps to Deathstroke's armor.
I actually like them a lot
If anything it just shows how good the sculpting detail has been for most (not all) McFarlane toys, especially armored characters. That being said although I don't care much for a solid gold/bronze paint deco, think Todd should release some limited chase Artist Proofs, give the niche customizers a crack at giving a better paint job, which I think is usually one of the main reasons some of his releases are poorly received.
But overall like everyone, its niche and best as a limited chase variant.
Good thing no store is carrying these from where I'm from.
