McFarlane Con is still popping off some gems throughout day 3. Recently revealed was the Mortal Kombat 11 Commando Spawn. This is 12 inch scale and for those that know McFarlane’s style, those are usually minimally articulated, closer to a statue than a traditional action figure as we collectors know today. They are however great centerpieces, especially for a tightly themed nook of a display. Since most who collect Spawn have multiple versions of the same character over and over, adding in this big detailed version of him from the game should work well. I played Spawn thoroughly and unlocked all his gear, but the default colors Commando Spawn was always one of my favorites. This looks to be a fantastic version of him.
Now, I REALLY hope they go full 7 inch modern tech with him eventually. That design will allow for a full range of cuts and articulation well hidden in all the armor. And come on – Spawn, armor, guns, necroplasm – it’s a perfect match of mystical and tactical that would kill in 7 inch modern form. Maybe I need to get on the horn with Malebolgia and cut a deal…

McFarlane MK11 Commando Spawn 12 Inch Figure Revealed

12 inch, minimal articulation. If that's final, which it looks pretty close, then it has slight head and arm movement, boot swivel, etc. Very similar to the color tops version. It's a slightly poseable statue. I'm ok with that at 12 inches, no complaints. They have their place. I just hope they do it in full 7 inch articulated style with no holding back. Cut that sononfa up and give us the articulation we want/need. That will really be a kick ass figure if done right. That sculpt, cut it up, bring it.
There's been a McFarlane Con happening for three days?
Kind of, it's virtual, just them updating on various social media channels. We've reported on most of it on front page.
"Who shot this place up?"
"Dunno, he was wearing a bandana over his highly recognizable costume."
Hope they do a regular figure of this. It's one of his best costumes.
Looks like Spawn is ready to fight COVID.
I see Todd got the licenses to Avatar: The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. He's firing on all cylinders right now.
I know DST is probably not happy.
Jumping on the "we need a 7 inch of this figure" train.
Love it! This goes on my list.
If this had 7-10 points of articulation....would be great.
Back in the Day McFarlane made incredible 12" figures. Robocop was phenomenal.
Really want McFarlane to do some 12" Horror figures or Movie figures. Spawn is just okay...compared to that Robocop they made.

Can't wait to see this BIG fig...
In the REAL..=^)

I'm in the 7" scale version more but let's see this too.

Or the old Walking Dead 10 inch:

It is also possible it's not a final piece and that more articulation will be worked in, he's showed off painted samples without cuts before.
Bottom line, there is no track record for him doing significant articulation in the 10/12 inch range, and this doesn't look like it's changing that, to me, right now. And as I said too, ok with that at this scale.

I got really excited about this for a few seconds before I realized that A: this was going be another semi-articulated statue, and B: it's the "modern" Commando Spawn design with the giant bandanna, not the classic one with the targeting monocle:
