Preview of the Dune 7-Inch Action Figures by McFarlane Toys

The McFarlane sculpt of Oscar Issac looks more like Javier Bardem.
The Momoa one could look a little better but mostly because I want an Aquaman figure. Might need more angles. Looks a bit like the detail is there but the painting is a little bland.
Javier Bardem figure looks really good. The character he's playing is Stilgar. So it's Stilgar, Paul, Lady Jessica, and Duncan Idaho in that picture. May want to correct that.
I don't know anything about Dune, but these look incredibly bland to me. I'm predicting a lot of pegwarming. The face sculpts look soft/weak to me. Or maybe it's just the paint.
As earlier comments indicate, it is clear that the character Oscar Isaac is playing is listed but not represented. It is Javier Bardem's character that is in the photo.
These remind me of the GoT figures in terms of limiting style and going for screen accuracy.
They look pretty good. I'm wondering if the BAF is gonna be the Baron.
My first reaction was who's who and I've been closely following the development of this movie. Paul is obvious from the stature and hair. And Duncan can be spotted thanks to the Momoa trademark eyebrow. I'm not sure if the first one is supposed to be Leto or Stilgar. Doesn't really look like either to me. I'm guessing Stilgar given the crysknife and other accessories. May have been better to give him the turban to add some variety. Jessica just looks way off. They should have maybe saved her for a later wave and put her in a different costume in order to add some variety.
Why so many stillsuits? This assortment seems more like "pick your favorite actor and be done with it" rather than "gotta catch them all in order to have a fun display." Why not a Leto or Gurney in armor in order to add some variety? All I really want from this line is Paul and Chani in stillsuits, but that may not happen since I'm not sure if it'll even see a second wave.
I won't be surprised if the BAF is a pathetically undersized sandworm much like the GoT dragons.
I'm wondering if there is some body reuse going on here. Stilgar and Duncan look like they may be using the same body. Jessica also looks kind of boyish. I wonder if it is the same body as Paul but with an alternate crotch and or lower torso piece with more rounded hips and keister. I think Jessica in a stillsuit is a waste, but it could make for a cheap figure to produce if they are reusing parts. I'm betting they're planning to slap Chani's head on that body if they get to wave 2.
I suspect Leto and Gurney may also share the same armored body.
My bad on the wrong names. Corrected the post. I have pretty much zero interest in Dune, so I thought the 1st one was Oscar Issac's character initially. Didn't even realize Javier Bardem was in the movie.
I thought that looked Like Stilgar not Leto
Yeahhhhh these look boring as hell. Dunno who wants these but glad they can get them, I guess?
Suits look good, maybe they'll keep working on those faces.
Man....this movie looks bad. Inconsistencies aside....paul atreidies shouldn't look like the wimpy little nerd in highschool.
Quick! Buy the figs before you see the movie and find out its a bore just like the first one zzzzz
It's not boring, it's just misunderstood.................nah, jk, I'm sure it'll be just as much anti-fun as the Lynch movie and books were.
10$ says the BAF is the sand worm...
I don't care about the movie, but those figures will probably make for AMAZING custom fodder.
That said, HOW THE HELL IS MCFARLANE CHURNING OUT SO MANY FIGURES SO QUICKLY? NECA takes forever to get anything out. Granted, NECA's quality is generally much better, but Todd's catching up...
Oh, and good thing Zendaya is flat as a board so they can re-use Paul's figure for her as well. Great cost-saving measure!
Jokes aside, I can't imagine these or the movie doing well, I can't even read the wiki synopsis of the books without my brain trying to jump ship from boredom, and I'm a somewhat avid reader! (Graphic novels count!)

I'm still wondering why Duncan gets a Stillsuit figure if this is based on Dune- unless they've sort of mashed a couple books together for this movie (which should have enough going on in it to fill a 3hr movie on its own)
Duncan should have a stillsuit according to the book. He was sent ahead of the others to Arrakis with a specific mission. The 80s movie downplayed Duncan's part.
A young, non-superhero-esque Paul also makes sense. He was 15 at the beginning. He is a nobleman's son and was a trained fighter per his station. But I'm not sure that his physique was ever described. The training from his mother is all about maximizing muscle control rather than maximizing muscle mass. I always got the sense that Paul would have a body more be more like a martial arts master rather than an MMA fighter.
From what I've read the first movie is only part of the first book. This would explain the omission of some characters that don't become important or even appear in-person until later.
The first movie is to be the first half of the book. It'll probably split the story where Paul and his Mom find the Freemen.
Personally, I think it looks amazing- I'm a huge fan of the director.
If the scale is right these could be suitable stand-ins for Imerpial Guardsmen.
