Photos and initial details have been released for a new Hagane Works Series Robocop, which is being produced by Good Smile Company. The fully articulated figure stands at 6.7″ tall and will include some diecast metal parts. The figure includes three interchangeable lower jaws, interchangeable hands, swap out battle damaged parts, a Cobra Assault Cannon, a functional thigh holster for the auto-9 pistol. The figure includes a base that also acts as a storage container for all of the parts.
Pre-orders for the figure are scheduled to go live on August 27th in Japan. The Robocop figure will be priced at 11,364 Yen (about $106 USD). Also scheduled to go up for pre-order tomorrow is a Moderoid version of ED-209. Details on that release haven’t been made available just yet. We’ll update with more info as it becoems available. Check out the Robocop photos after the jump.

It looks good, I like the storage for accessories in the figure stand base. I just don't think this is going to replace my Mafex Robocop so unless I can get this on sale I will probably pass on this.
I don't really understand why you'd want this if you have the MAFEX. Am I missing something?
Looks pretty good overall; you're a huge Robocop fan right Joe? What do you think?
Murphy and ED are getting some love this year and it's awesome.
The Moderoid ED is a huge surprise. If it's similar to their Escaflowne kit, it will probably be a solid, but simple, build with some pre-painted items for some of the wiring detail.
The joints look interesting for Robo as do the accessories, but like others have said... Is this warranted after the Mafex releases?
If it's as good as the Hagane Works Demonbane figure I have, it is for me.
Does it come packed in with ED-209?
I also noticed the second to last image has "Relese."
As others have mentioned, a bit redundant after the Mafex figures.
Looks pretty good but Good Smile coming in a bit late and with a slightly more expensive version (Ninja Batman comes to mind). Diecast is goods, but as everyone said there are 3 MAFEX versions, though this looks more for the first Robocop movie. Think everyone would jump on if they had a decent Weller facesculpt underneath. Storage is good idea but would have loved to see an Octagon OCP shaped base/stand (Hot Toys didnt do that I think) and hands are enough though I think MAFEX gave a bit more.
Last thought, may need to see a review or in person when it comes out, but those lips?
Wait, are these models that we have to assemble, or are they figures?
I purchased from BBTS and the entire Robocop head, still sealed in package mind you, had been scratched right down the middle just from moving around in the package. I used to have pictures from when I had to return the figure but it was insanely disappointing, especially after how long I waited after the preorder.
I'm in for 1 of these.
I’m probably going to try and get this, simply to see how it compares to the MAFEX versions. The armor looks more matte here, and I’m just a sucker for a good looking Robocop figure.
Will the usual suspects be offering the RoboCop as a preorder for the USA, or do we have to make other arrangements?
Cool. Thanks Joe.
It’s not painted correctly. He actually isn’t just silver.
Hagane Works Robocop and Moderoid ED-209 by Good Smile Company - The Toyark - News

I chose to preorder RoboCop from Hobby Link Japan. Maybe the shading on his armor will be added sometime before release. It'll be interesting to see a final production figure.
