A new line of figures has been introduced by McFarlane Toys. The McFarlane Gold Label Collection will feature pop culture icons redesigned by Todd McFarlane. The new line kicks off with an all-new Batman 7″ Scale Figure. While the promo shots use a mostly unarticulated prototype, Todd shared a video of the figure that shows it will feature the same articulation as their DC Multiverse line. The figures in the Gold Collection will be limited, and will come in specialized packaging. Check out the new info below, and see a few photos after the jump.

McFarlane Toys Reveals Their McFarlane Gold Label Collection Batman

Yes, it's articulated. There's more pics in the link above that show that.
Aaaaaannnnndddd mcfartlame comes out with more batman figs. And because its a gold collection good bye 20 bucks hello overinflated prices. Give the license back to mattel already.
I... Don't hate it? Am I getting more accepting as I age? What's going on here!?!?!
Mcfarlane- I have a feeling you like Batman. Could you try something else?
But seriously(?) it seems like Flashpoint Batman was a base and then Mcfarlane went to town on it. It's the cowl I really dislike.
Unlike the first Batman which has almost no sculpt, I think it's a bit too much. The belt also confuses me like it's two belts fused into one.
But I love everything else honestly.I think these figures look MUCH better when there is more sculpt and little details to them. Again contrasting to the first figure which didn't have much texture. I think that's sorta helping the Batman fatigue as it's not variants on the one Batman design.
As to yet another Batman figure. The WB clearly isn't telling him to do something else so I don't really know how giving the license to someone else will change things.
His belt looks sweet.
His ultimate plan revealed: REDESIGN THE DC UNIVERSE
TODD... PLEASE BE KIND TO SUPERMAN, IF YOU EVER HAPPEN TO MAKE ANOTHER ONE OF THOSE.
But seriously, let him make limited whatever figures, fine. If it flops it flops. I just hope there are enough for people who want it and IS NOT a retail exclusive
So no worries, it won't be available for more than 10 seconds anyway!
I kinda like it. It's like a Steampunk Batman, I'm not a fan of the headsculpt in the promo pic though. The head on the one Todd is holding is much better.

Meh... This design really isn't wowing me...
I kinda expected more from the Spawn Creator and the Dark Knight he would do...
Underwhelming.
I'm a new collector, and since I've started, affordable DC figures have been terrible. Mattel ( when I started buying ) was worse than happy meal toys.
As long as McFarlane puts out quality DC stuff I don't care if it's 100x Wonder Womans, I'll buy them if they're cool-- which I think this is a very cool figure. Batman or not, compare how good that looks with other figures in the same price-point and it's a no brainer for me.
The fact it's The Bats is just icing.
Looks good. I'll take it.
The headsculpt looks weird, but the rest of it is surprisingly pretty decent; I'm especially kinda pleasantly shocked that Todd's redesign sensibilities didn't go for the """""""more serious/realistic/dark""""""" thing of making Batman's belt entirely black, and allowed it to remain largely brown with a yellow symbol buckle and gold knives to still stand out from the suit, and keep that important bit of color to break up the monochrome.
So because they will be limited, they will all end up on e-bay and I agree, too much Batman. Enough already. It does look good.
Thanks Todd I hate it.
I am a fan of Mcfarlane art however it isn't a fair comparison. The Mattel line belongs to another time.
Something similar happened to me when I saw the Hasbro reissues of Ghostbusters characters. I have no nostalgic connection with them since never had anyone of them as a kid, they are pretty ugly to me in comparison with modern lines but it's not a fair comparison at the end.
Please, make someone other than batman. Making just a few characters can kill a line (heman 200x). I'll continue my patronage, but plz consider other characters and groups. Thanks in advance!

The redesign apects are very bland, the figure itself looks ok tho. Hope Warner higher ups gets the memo that there are more characters in the DC Universe besides Batman.
yeah i doubt that, considering DC Direct is gone, I don't think WB gives a dam about figures anymore otherwise they would of kept it. They'll probably want a movie tie-in figures, but once everyone has their favorite batman then RIP.
We've basically got to stop buying batman figures, the sad thing is i want to like this line, but he's made me have batman fatigue. Christ even Marvel Legends Toned down wolverine to 1 per wave comic wise. I'd say he should do the same with batman.
if anyone is wanting a C-D list characters, they better pray that character will get a movie at this rate.
Why the long face, Batman?
*sigh* McFarlane and his Batman fetish strikes again.
Can we just get a standard size for DC figures. Pick an articulation and stay with it. 6,7,8, like pick a damn size already
I actually want this. The McFarlane articulatoin is way better on most of these figures than I initially expected. Every company wants to put out popular characters that they know will sell like hotcakes. Hot Toys has Iron Man, McFarlane (...and everybody else for that matter), has Batman. Hasbro has Spidey, Wolverine and Deadpool. I don't mind if they make a million cool variations of the A list characters. The caveat for me is I don't like it when they neglect other good characters and make throw away figures instead... like the upcoming McFarlane Animated Cyborg from Teen Titans. That could have been a Comics version of Cyborg, Metallo, Cyborg Superman, Steel, Mr. Terrific... anything but that. Happy for those that wanted it though.
While this figure is not for me because I am not a fan of the redesign there's a lot of love in the figure and it shows. The attention to detail is wonderful.
Can't wait for White Knight Azbat!
