Teenage Mutant Nina Turtles II: The Secret of the Ooze – Tokka and Rahzar 7″ Scale Figure 2-Pack
After exposing a wolf and snapping turtle to the same mutagen that created the crime fighting quartet and their Master Splinter, Tokka and Rahzar were born!
Making their debut as NECA’s first figures from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: The Secret of the Ooze are the Foot Clan’s newest members to defeat the turtles.
Tokka and Rahzar are massive, standing at over 7″ and 8″ respectively, with over 30 points of articulation from head to toe, including articulated eyebrows on Tokka.
Also packed in this massive 2 pack are real chains on Rahzar, swappable hands, a shield, pipe, wooden beam, fire extinguisher, mutagen canister, and a suspicious box of donuts!

interesting.
Randy had been saying the Tokka and Rahzar release would be different since before the mess of the last few weeks. So it sounds like this plan was (at least partially) in motion for a while.
This will be good, and give everyone a chance to get these up front. Bad for those that don't use credit cards or miss the window, but a week is honestly more than long enough.
Besides, if you miss them, you'll probably be able to get these in the future as game repaints for Turtles in Time (unless they do a new mold like Slash and Baxter).
Made to order. Thank NECA ☺ so awesome. I'm more excited about the made to order kinda. I'm so happy about it. I wish the window was two weeks, but I'll take what I'm getting.

It took 20 years or so, but I did finally get excellent versions of B&R and Krang on the big screen (yes, I love Out of the Shadows). I guess I'll have to wait 20 years for the collectors version of these characters (not paying $900 for the ThreeZero versions)
Watch them still sell out within seconds despite this plan.
Tokka has always looked good by Rahzar is just soooo Muppet looking that I can never accept him as anything "real" Secret of the Ooze did to TMNT basically what Batman and Robin did to the Burton Batverse for me- just drove it straight from coolsville to sillytown (lol) BUT... I'll probably still end up breaking down and pre-ordering both these guys.
I'm pretty sure he said in the interview that they go into production after next Friday, so it should be a true made to order thing.
Just watched the Randy Falk TMNT interview with Pixel Dan and he really comes off as a giant Douche Bag. A defensive crybaby who generated NO sympathy from me as he pleaded for people not to be mean about his company's failings. He is just a unlikable Little B*tch.
Glad to see NECA taking a cue from Super 7. Hopefully mimicing a far superior company will help NECA be better.
Yeahhhh three months sounds like too quick of a turnaround, granted I don't know everything about toymaking but this seems too good to be true...
So what’s different about these? Why can these be offered direct but nothing else? I’m not complaining. This is a great step forward and I’m glad neca seems to be learning something from super7 and other made to order items like haslab.
Again, why this but not super shredder or the Casey set? Or the cartoon sets? Or the turtles live set?
I’ll have to watch that episode with Randy. Honestly, I’ve always liked Randy when ever I’ve seen him on video. His tweets can come off nasty, but the written word is tough to convey true feelings. I think neca is out of their element right now across the board and they aren’t changing fast enough or in the right direction to meet the needs of their customers.

I’ll have to catch the interview. Sounds like there is more hope for the movie figures being made available with Walmart. The cartoon stuff at target seems like we may just be SOL.
So why the hell did Target get the SDCC exclusive then? The figures are, at most, related to the movie, despite not being actual movie figures. Just rubs me the wrong way even more how the online for that was handled.
Wait, they want a turtle product to be readily available for everyone who wants it? Not piss off their entire customer base outside the scalpers? What kind of business plan is that?
Well, well, well.....I had legitimately let go my desire to collect the movie tmnt stuff. I need to focus the cartoon turtles and what it will cost to get the important ones on eBay eventually.
I definitely wasn't going to try and get Tokka and Rahzar...BUT NOW...SUPER EASY PRE-ORDER and I know I will get it at original cost?
Sold!
This gives me more motivation to get the Raph and Casey pack again. I was done with it. After the last experience with the recent cartoon "release" I fully prepared myself for the possibility the cartoon and movie turtles will all be ebay items. I love turtles, so I'll buy a few cartoons on eBay, but that will be it for my budget. Can't do nothin' bout that.
Deep down, I don't think they will ever make enough of these retail toys to meet demand, and that will be that. So, okay, that's the biz, don't get hot webz lol. I have a certain budget. It will afford me a few cartoon turts on eBay. Done. That's the reality here.
If there is more made to order I might have budget to collect more movie turtle stuff. I want to prioritize Super7 turtles first before anything Neca at this point. So if there are a lot more Super7 exclusives and special releases, it will come first. I still want everything Super7 because I know I will get it, and it's at original cost. I'm so excited to get them....where as with Neca, if I get it, it will be like, Cool sculpts..but kind of not....
I'm just wondering when Super Shredder will go up and are they going to have him up on the NECA store and Walmart or just the NECA store. I just hope he will easy to get like this Tokka and Rahzar set.
The Sentinel figure likely isn't even tooled yet because Hasbro didn't even know if they were going to actually make it. Seems NECA is taking a gamble, though not much of a gamble, and did the tooling before securing any orders. Normally they get the funding from what ever retailer they are going to sell to and then make the product. What they are doing here is risking getting only a few orders and potentially losing money, though again I don't see that happening.
