The Toony Terrors Wave 5 assortment has been fully revealed by NECA. In this wave, there are two all-new releases, and two variants of previously released figures. Included are a Bloody Ash from Evil Dead 2, a Bloody Tears Michael Myers from Halloween 2, The Creep from The Creepshow TV Series, and Ghost Face from Scream. The figures are due for release in December. See details below, and new photos after the jump.
Series 5 of the adorably creepy Toony Terrors line will bring more stylized horror icons into the mix! Standing approximately 6 inches tall, the action figure assortment includes Ghost Face with knife accessory, the Creep (Creepshow) with lantern accessory, Bloody Ash (Evil Dead 2), and Bloody Tears Michael Myers (Halloween 2).
Each figure comes in blister card packaging with a bonus cutout backdrop.

Serious, two repaints, that sucks. Great job on Ghostface and Crepper, but Ash is already not the best Fig in this line and Michael in deeper blue with a little blood on the mask, that are variants, maybe good as SDCC exclusives, but not as new entrys. I really like Toony Terrors, but that is a great disappointment.
I'm wondering if it's because they're running out of new horror characters to make (that would actually sell!)
I mean, they did do 16 unique molds before releasing variants (NES Freddy and Jason don't count since they were cancelled).
I am a big supporter of repaints. They're a necessity in toy making, and usually lead to some great looking releases (and yes, there are lazy repaints out there across the toy industry). Repaints are more profitable than unique mold releases. The development costs are already paid for and then that money is funneled back into new tooling.
But how many toy lines wait until the 17th and 18th figure releases to do repaints though?

If they were limited variants or exclusives, then just as many people would complain about how hard they are to find.
Was there any confirmation eather way if we'd ever get Alien or Predator done up like this? Arguably more science fiction then horror but its the announcement I keep hoping for.
I’m just waiting for neca to knock my socks off. I haven’t seen that yet this year.
Yeah, mabey its the general lack of anything I really want or just the lack of stuff we didn't already know about before comic con. Ah well, its only Friday.
