Billy Crudup as Ace Ventura
Yeah it's off, but I can't quite pinpoint why...
Not horrible, but off a bit. I’m sorry, but are people really asking for all of these Ace Ventura collectibles?
I'm only interested if he can "ass me a question" or ask me for some binaca.
Yeah, that likeness is absolute ass. It's closer to what Jim Carrey looks like today at age 58.
Looks like one of these that'll look really good from about 6-8 ft away but progressively worse the closer you get. Pretty iconic character so I get it but I do wonder how many people will rush out to buy this. The Ace Ventura ship sailed 20+ years ago.
I totallyy want a high quality ace....this ain’t”t . The face....dear lord. Those arms are looking cheap too. Like the Dam toys figure I own
It looks like he has a swappable mouth (faceplates)
Good call on the Crudup. Think the paint detail for hair is off, particularly the eyebrows. It's way dark and thick throughout, needs to thin a bit towards the temples. Much like certain characters, some you want some extreme posability in their figure, but for anything with Jim Carrey you would want a ton of face expressions. ASMUS I think have a few earlier versions of this, the headsculpts on those were pretty bad, this is better but its off.
IF anyone wants this, I think the only thing that would save it from being a poor seller is if the sunglasses popped on and looked great and pull off the pose that oxidative mentioned earlier.
