Fresh Monkey Fiction has opened up their crowdfunding pre-orders for their Amazing Heroes Wave 5 Action Figures. The 4.5″ tall retro style figures started off as characters from the Golden Age of comics, but have since expanded to include more modern independent heroes. This assortment of figures includes Mr. Monster, E-Man, Stray, Badger and The Black Pirate. Pre-orders are open until September 1st, 2020. Fresh Monkey Fiction needs $15,000 to bring this wave to collectors. The figures are priced at $25 each. Pledging for the full set gets you all five figures for $100. Check out details below, and see a few images after the jump. You can check out the Crowdfunding Campaign for additional details, and the Pre-Order Store to place order.
FRESH MONKEY FICTION IS LAUNCHING A NEW CROWD FUNDING CAMPAIGN TO CONTINUE IT’S AMAZING HEROES RETROVERSE LINE OF RETRO STYLED COMIC BOOK ACTION FIGURES.
New characters for this wave include Mr. Monster, E-Man, Stray, Badger and The Black Pirate. Each figure has 5 points of articulation and comes with collector friendly packaging.
If you are new to Amazing Heroes you can read more about our line here.
We’ve previously used Kickstarter to fund our Amazing Heroes line but we are going to try something new this time. We are not going the Kickstarter route, but instead are doing our own version of a crowd funding campaign we’ve called “FRESH MONKEY FUND IT”. This new approach will allow us to be more flexible with our rewards and leverage a pre-order system via Backerkit to manage our orders.
If we can achieve our funding goal of by the beginning of September 2020 we’ll be able to fund the costs for the following figures and deliver them to you in early 2021.
Crowdfunding Pre-Orders Live for Amazing Heroes Wave 5

The Lamest Group of Heroes ever assembled.
I've only heard of Badger.
E-Man but no Keletor? Or An-At-Arms? Or Eela?

the smiles are horrifying.
I'm glad these types of things are around, but not being familiar at all with whatever properties they're from and then also being extremely simple figures doesn't give me much interest in them.

Yipes
E-Man is like a crazed Paul Reiser staring into my soul.
But how do Golden Age heroes (along with Badger created in 1983) and a style that appeals to former 80's kids mesh? I mean, if it works anyone, good for them. (But where the ladies at?)
My first line was a reference to Super Friends's "The most powerful forces of good ever assembled!" and variations of such.
I hate these guys to be honest. Their designs, the simplistic figures, the z list nobody characters, and those frightening headsculpts. no thank you.
Wave 5 & still no women?
I'm honestly amazed there's 5 waves of these guys. They're okay for what they are but I never would've guessed there's a big fanbase for them...
I didn't know this line had so much hate, I enjoy it.The independent characters don't really belong I guess.
