Edited title. May as well use this as a thread for their whole event, as there's a number of new items there. Going over it all and posting.

Yuuuupppppppppp. My Dad collects this line and it's often such a let down. He was very happy this morning to see he can finally get Biollante at a reasonable price, but there are soooooo many Kaiju that need to be made. Imagine if this line had the same love and care that Dragon Ball got?

If as many people were buying them it probably would.

Very true. I probably underestimate the popularity of Godzilla in Japan and the rest of the world compared to Dragon Ball.

DBZ is killing it though these last few weeks with reveals. It's causing me to really reevaluate my detolf set up.

Super excited for Biollante. I hope they put some of the other Mandalorian stuff up for preorder soon too, we saw those troopers a while ago.

I'm glad they just got the rest of Ginyu force out the way without drawing it out over years. Assuming they come out steady over next year or so. The fact they were shown semi ready to go this early on is a good sign.

So did I and it sucks. I thought for sure Japan would dig Godzilla enough for this line to last forever - guess not. Dragon Ball just has a solid fan base in Japan plus a huge following overseas which helps out a lot.

Oh well, reissues of figures I don’t have are nice to I guess.

Me too. Not so excited for the price though, she was already expensive first time around, second time - well let’s just hope it isn’t breaking the ¥30000 threshold.

Well people can't buy them when they are always doing repaints and reissues.

Bandai is just run by a bunch of morons. They kept saying they wouldn't complete Sentai teams because the Figuarts didn't sell as well as Kamen Riders but no one was buying the Sentai teams because they could never get a complete team.

Crap, Biollante is ¥30000. December 2020 release.

Beats the original’s aftermarket price of course, but man that’s a lot of cash. I doubt it'll come around a third time though so I'll bite the bullet.

We surely didn't end up in this situation because these figures were hot sellers. If they would’ve done well the first time around we would see more.

You can’t realistically ask a company to do something when their data clearly indicates it’s a bad idea. So they're playing it safe until they test the waters again in the future.

Yeah I guess the people whose products sell out in seconds really don’t know how to do this stuff. They should ask that one guy in the US who always bitches and moans about Super Sentai figures for help.

Never mind the "keep saying it”, when did they say this in the first place? Source?

It’s the truth obviously, but I doubt Tamashii took the time to openly state what license sold like crap.

No one was buying a complete team because aside from a handful of diehard fans, no one cared about picking up the same figure 5 times. People resorted to buying Reds and Sixth guys, and at the tail end of the line even those sold absolutely awful. Kyoryu Red did so poorly he was at the bottom of the bin at just about every website that sold these things. He ended up as custom fodder most of the time, and even then it took years and years before he went out of stock.

These figures didn't sell well, so they stopped doing them. It’s the same answer every single time you bring this up, might as well accept it someday.

Hence why they should have just done box sets. Release the main team in one set and put the sixth rangers out individually.

I never argued that they didn't sell well. They didn't sell well because people got sick of not getting an entire team after awhile. They also showed off prototypes and then did nothing with them. Baseball Mask, Leo, Mele, Bouken Silver, Bouken Pink, Bouken Yellow, Yellow Owl, White Swan, Blue Swallow, etc. By the time Bandai released Gorenger, no one cared anymore because no one trusted the line. Hell, I even gave up by that point so I never touched Akaranger nor the Sun Vulcan guys.

Of course, I also stopped due to having the hip joints on Shinken Red, Gokai Red, and Gokai Green break.

But whatever, Hasbro has shown far more love for Sentai/PR in one year than Bandai has shown in over a decade, so even if Bandai were to restart the Sentai line, outside of Dairanger, I wouldn't touch it.

I like the Remnant Storm Trooper and will likely buy one : )
I really like the Biker Scout with Speeder Bike from the Mandalorian TV-show too.
Hopefully that one won't be too expensive...
