Iron Studios women statues are all butterfaces. What gives?
^ Seriously! That face ruins this thing.
lol, I have to agree with the above folks. Their female figure faces are a bit off. I don’t think they were always like that though. I have their older Psylocke and it was quiet decent in the face sculpts:-

Ivy's face sculpt is...different, but not necessarily bad at all. It's just not a stereotypical "hot" sculpt. I think it's interesting.
I don't know about that. Part of the reason why the teenage me started reading comics was because of the attractive "idealistic" people drawn on there. If I wanted plain looking I would have just looked around my life.
Even if not EVERY superhero/villain can be a knockout, I'm just saying so far EVERY female statue Iron Studio has made are not that attractive.
Especially if I'm going to drop $140 on a statue then she better be "good looking" to me! Would be a waste to put a 1/10 paper bag on her head.

So a comic character cannot technically be just a plain face, especially one that in the comic world has a reputation like Ivy. If they were making M.O.D.O.K or something, that is a different story haha.

He said plain not ugly. Neither are flattering but they don't mean the same thing.
I just got the Koto Bishoujo version of Ivy. Haven't got her out of the box because I follow a 3 day quarantine for the box
That said, you did mis-read my post. Notice the time stamp, I was talking about my teenage years. "If I WANTED plain looking I WOULD HAVE just LOOKED around my life." That was all in the past tense. Until I met my girlfriend, now my wife, all that changed!
See, good recovery, right? Ha ha!
Also, do agree with you. When we are dropping this much money on these pieces, they do need to up their game to make it look good.
In my experience, lot of polystone/resin statue makers do have this problem though. Even XM Studios, considered a great, tends to have trouble with female faces. Sideshow I think is the most well known for really good female face sculpts (Aspen, Huntress for example), but lately they have dropped the ball with couple of their releases too (Emma Frost PF was.... well... nightmare inducing, and even the Psylocke one was much debated).
