McFarlane MK11 Wave 3

Official solicitations have been released for the upcoming Mortal Kombat 11 – Kitana and Baraka 7″ Scale Figures coming from McFarlane Toys. The figures were originally announced back at Toy Fair 2020. There’s not a lot of additional info available. We do know the figures will have stands, and about 22 points of articulation. They are scheduled for release at the end of September. The figures are priced at $19.99 each. Pre-orders for these figures should be going live soon. We’ll update with additional details and images when they become available. See the photos after the jump.

May pick up a Katana since Storm doesn't seem to be hitting her anytime soon, Baraka looks well done for the most part but already have him covered.

It’s really funny because Storm has had a Kitana prototype up for few years now, but never released her (granted, it’s her classic costume). Don’t know what is going on there. Then again, their Cammy release makes you question whether they can pull off female characters as good as they have been doing with the male ones.

This one looks decent, but the weapons look really bad though.

I have Storm Chun-Li, and she is fine.

From what I've heard, Storm has a TON of prototypes done and ready to go (MK2 and MK3 - since many are just re-colors), but just slowly unveiling them as they go. They just keep adding other game licenses and it takes up production slots.

Motaro seems like their next release since they've teased him a couple of times, but SDCC is also coming up and they've had an exclusive the last few years. I'm figuring the exclusive might be MK3 Sub-Zero with ice arms as he was featured in the Raiden product photos.

I have a feeling it's gonna be Unmasked MK3 Sub Zero...since Storm recently teased it online.

Wouldn't surprise me if the ice arms on the UMK3 SZ come with the unmasked figure, since one of his fatalities in MK3 involved him charging his arms with ice and breaking you in half.

    That might be the case.

But, they did mess up with Cammy:-

I was thinking that they postponed because they might not really know how to handle similar figures since the MK characters have a similar lower torso design. Or, there is the possibility that they took so long that now they should just try to release the modern MK design of these characters rather than the old generic looking one haha.

McFarlane has the current games look. Storm is the classic games. I have no problem waiting for more mk figures from storm. They’ve been releasing quite a few. Baraka, mk3 ninja, cyberninja, and raiden soon.
