While Previews didn’t reveal new San Diego Comic-Con 2020 Exclusives today, a pre-order has gone live for one of their upcoming reveals. The listings give us a look at the Tron (1982) Deluxe VHS 7″ Scale Figure coming from Diamond Select Toys. The figure is a repaint of their excellent Tron figure, and is based on an iconic promo image (seen after the jump) from the film. The photo was used on posters and VHS releases for the film. The figure will include an Identity Disc and effects pieces. It’s priced at $39.99 and will release in July. ’80s fans will never forget the first time they watched their VHS copy of Tron at home… That’s why this SDCC 2020 Exclusive is sporting colors based on the old VHS packaging, and comes packaged in a real VHS-style box!

This articulated 7-inch figure has a unique reaction to black light and comes with multiple identity discs with energy effects. It was designed by Eamon O’Donoghue and was sculpted by Gentle Giant Studios. Limited to only 3,000 pieces.

    Looks like there is going to be a SDCC variant of Tron based on the publicity image that was on the back of the VHS box.
