Official photos have begun popping up on European stores for the upcoming Masters of the Universe Origins 5.5″ Tall Figures. I spotted the pics from Lulu-Berlu, where they list the figures for a September release. Most of the images are high resolution, though a few are still lower quality. The images also give us an official look at much of the packaging, which pays tribute to the original figure packaging from the 80’s. Included are:
- He-Man
- Skeletor
- Teela
- Man-At-Arms
- Battle Cat
- Orko
- Prince Adam and the Sky Sled
- Man-E-Faces
- Evil-Lyn
- Beast Man
- Trap Jaw
- Scare Glow
We’re still waiting for these figure to open up for pre-orders. With official photos being released, it shouldn’t bee too long. We will update as more images and info is released.
Masters of the Universe Origins Official Photos by Mattel

Poor Man-At-Arms' head got squished!
I don't know what it is about MotU that always attracts my attention. Even as a kid I felt they were poorly sculpted, lacked paint and relied heavily on parts reuse. But I had a ton of them. Maybe it was the gimmicks that kept me coming back. The likes of Meck-a-Neck, Man-E-Faces, Tri-Klops, Trap-Jaw & Orko were my favorites.
I have a feeling I'll be tempted by this line if I see it. I'd definitely be tempted by Teela if it weren't for those ugly knees (hopefully will look better in person). Probably Orko as well.
Orko will be mine. Oh yes... he will be mine!
Gonna pass on these. Already got the Classics and Super 7 stuff. They don't even look good and I've had a long time to look at them over and over and its the same feeling of disgust and dislike. I would like to think that back in the 80s Mattel was giving us the best sculpts they could and giving us 100% effort for their time, but these are not 100% effort for our time. The arms are too long. There isn't anything different about them and there are no new gimmicks. I hope we see Classics again and the Filmation stuff can be finished, I already watched the Byran Flynn interviews and I know it's not gonna happen for now. I hope the Kevin Smith stuff is gonna be good. Like why am I gonna buy these when I already have a better version in Classics and Filmation. If Super7 can have many different MOTU lines going, not sure why Mattel can't. It's just greed. I buy the 1/6 MOTU stuff because it's different enough. I feel like its they can just sell us anything as long as it says MOTU and I do buy many versions of the same character, but they are different enough to warrant another purchase. Are we really all just mindless sheep?
I love the original Masters Of The Universe and I can't wait to get these. The only complaint i have is He-Man's head sculpt. The alternate one that came with the SDCC exclusive set looked more like the original sculpt. Would've been a great addition! Hope to see Panthor and Sorceress make it into the line and definitely Castle Grayskull!
They should've at least used the other head sculpt for Prince Adam. Adam looking like a raging barbarian is/was silly.
I have a feeling that I'd be oddly disappointed that the likes of He-Man and Skeletor won't have squishy heads.
I was way too late to the game to get in on motuc. I cant bring myself to track any down now because I cant pay premium price for out of date articulation. No ankle tilt? I wish I could see a redo of those admittedly awesome sculpts with at least improved articulation. These are just too retro for my collecting tastes.
Tired of MOTU merch so going to pass on these; preferred Super7's stuff anyway.
I was never into naked muscle men in loincloths, but to each his own.
Anyways, @Topic: I really like these, but I don’t feel like getting into MOTU, that’s just another rabbit hole I'd like to spare my wallet from.
Seems like Skeletor is out already. I thought these guys were coming out in the fall.
Did these have a full pre-order here in the US? I'd like to get a few now XD
