In a quick post on their social media channels, Chronicle Collectibles has announced a new license acquisition. They will be producing collectibles based on Highlander! The cult classic film from 1986 spawned a series of films, a live action TV series, and even an animated TV series. The film features Christopher Lambert as Connor MacLeod, an immortal Scottish swordsman hunting down the last of his immortal foes. The film also features Sean Connery and Clancy Brown.
There’s no word on what Chronicle will be producing at this time. We will update as more details are revealed.
Chronicle Collectibles Announces Highlander License
Such an under rated classic. I have my neca set, but I’d gladly take more collectibles. I remember when neca did their set, I thought I’d never see them. Who wants to live forever?
About time.
Damn skippy. My NECA set needs company.
Mixed hearing this. Glad to hear someone will put out some things but this being Chronicle, I don't think I would get much from it considering they tend to do statues and 1/6 scale. I've done my best avoiding those rabbit holes. Would have to see still what they would do with that Harry Potter license to get a better idea.
Am i the only one who thought it was Highlander from The Boys?
I'm guessing there will be some prop replicas, such as Kurgan's helmet. But they did just start working on 1/12 scale figures. So there is hope for that.
Give me kurgan connor duncan ramierez amanda and methos!
Back in the early 2000s Sideshow did 1/6 scale versions of modern and scottish Conner and Duncan as well as modern Kurgan, but they never did do the scottish flashback Kurgan or Ramirez either due to poor sales (in the case of Kurgan) and maybe likeness rights issue (in the case of Ramirez). I wonder if we might finally get a Ramirez figure this time around and that badass costume Kurgan wore in the 1500s. I still have the 1/6 scale Sideshow Conner and Kurgan figures after all these years (mainly since they don't seem to be selling for much on Ebay) so I may continue to hold onto them to see if we get any extra characters to add to the set.
