In a short post, Storm Collectibles has announced that they have acquired a license to produce Gatchaman (aka Science Ninja Team Gatchaman) collectibles. In Japan, Gatchaman was an animated series that ran in the early 1970’s, airing over 100 episodes. It followed a five-member team of superheroes, who take on the evil corporation GALACTOR. The series was adapted for English audiences as Battle of the Planets in 1978, and then again as G-Force: Guardians of Space in 1987 (US run in 1995).
No details have been released on what they plan to produce, but it could encompass either 1/12 scale figures, or statues. We’ll update as more info is made available.
Storm Collectibles Announces Gatchaman License

Well, I'm excited. Hope they're not going to go with the bulky body types that they're known for..they need to have lithe bodies like in the cartoon and curious how they're going to do the capes.
This is terrible news!!!! For my wallet!!! If this is 1/12 consider entire set bought!!
Add this to their pile of "Licensing Announcements" that have yet to produce even a grayscale prototype.
That’s the one thing I loathe about Storm Collectibles. They make some good figures, but they also announce this stuff way too early.
Ideally I'd love all 5 members of the Science Ninja Team/Gatchaman, Berg Katse, and a Galactor trooper (for some hot army-building action), but I know there's no chance of that ever happening. The only line Storm has been consistent with is Mortal Kombat, and that's only because there's a shitload of identical color-swap ninjas that they can use to milk the molds. Lines that require original body sculpts for each character never fare nearly as well.

I'm still waiting for any progress whatsoever on their Fist of the North Star line (other than the 1/12 Ken prototype they showed off ages ago and nothing since) and there hasn't been a peep about Darkstalkers since the initial announcement a while back. So fucking annoying.
And not defending them in any way, but their figures are easily some of my favorites out of anything from any company currently being put out (when they ARE actually put out)
I think their SFV line is done but their SF2 line is still going I think. But yeah they should be a little bit better than grabbing every license and then announcing it.

I don't think its as bad as people are making it out to be...Golden Axe was announced sometime in '18 and figures should be hitting soon and last year they announced a Jushin Liger figure and had that available months later. For all we know it could be the license holders that have been the reason for the hold up.
If these are 1/12 I am all in. I used to watch this show as a Kid.
