I mean...I guess it's fine if you want a Joseph figure...but that headsculpt...I can't unsee Christopher Lambert from it no matter how hard I try. If it didn't have those ridiculous pigtails, I'd be all over this because none of the Legends figures to date have been particularly good and that Revoltech version is a hot mess of joints.

Someone needs to inform Mafex the cape color is wrong as well. If you are gonna do Joseph, fine, but at a premium price, at least get the major details right.

This is Age of Apocalypse Magneto though? He's supposed to look like this. Pigtails and red cape included.

It doesn’t seem to be in line with their other marvel choices though. Why now switch to AoA? They would have had a home run with a 90s magneto.

That's a question I’ve been asking myself too. This one doesn’t really fit with their previous X-Men figures that well.

Accurate to the source material, but a weird choice for sure.

Accurate or not an optional head without the ponytails would've been nice. Looks great regardless.

    Good observation...I hadn't caught that.

I guess we can be fair...it technically is a 90's Magneto?

I'm on the same thought as everyone else...why AoA Magneto when everything else to this point has been Jim Lee based?

Perhaps Mafex has some insider tips and knows that Hasbro won't be completing their own AoA line anytime soon after this upcoming wave...*shrugs

It's simple really. It's so people who buy this can buy it again when they release it in his standard look.

So why is it that when SHF Toei Spider-Man came out people went nuts over his "pouch" and this thing has maybe one of the most pronounced figure "crotches" I've seen, and nobody's ragging on it?? I think MAFEX is some kind of semi-religious cult lol. Anyway, no idea why they would make such an ugly and obscure Magneto, except as people have been saying, they're clearly planning on double-dipping with the one people want later... lame.

Somehow I missed pictures of the Toei Spider-Man, but now that I've Googled it... wow, that joint is super weird. This Magneto sure has an impressive bulge, but the crotch joint on that Spider-Man is really unfortunate.

    Pass.

Magnetos powers are really awesome but I've never liked the look. PHEW! I needed a break on this one.

I'm sure I'll be buying Sabertooth, Apocalypse, Sinister, etc. If they made Apocalypse they could probably make Juggernaut and Sentinels. That would be doppppppe.

You're the first person I've seen bring that up about Spiderman but now that you've mentioned it...lol yeah.
As far as Magneto, maybe people are just silently relived he's not sporting a camel toe like Mezco's Magneto.

Ahhh man, I totally forgot about Mag's One:12 scale camel toe XD LOL

One more bad crotch for Magneto and his reputation is tossed.
