NECA has released updated photos for their upcoming Aliens – Space Marine Drake Kenner Tribute 7″ Scale Figure. The new pics give us our first look at the final packaging for the figure. The Drake figure has about 30 points of articulation. The figure includes a smart gun, and a blade that can attach to the barrel. When not in use, the blade can be attached to the figures back. The design is inspired by the classic Kenner figure. The figure is set to begin shipping to retailers on April 14th. You can see the new photos after the jump.
Space Marine Drake is the newest addition to NECA’s Kenner Tribute line! Hailing from the classic Expanded Universe Aliens of the early 1990s, Drake is back and ready to hunt some Aliens.
Our team has transformed this Kenner classic into a modern version with all of today’s detail and articulation. Drake stands approximately 7″ tall and features a massive Smart Gun accessory! The figure is highly posable, with nearly 30 points of articulation. It also comes with a special blade attachment that connects to the barrel of the Smart Gun barrel or the figure’s back.
The packaging is an homage to the classic Kenner art, featuring custom illustrations and a color palette reminiscent of the toy shelves of the early ’90s.

Damn! This was the first space marine figure I bought from the Kenner line back in the day. Still have him, too! Will def pick this guy up.

Part of me wants to buy it so I can pose it next to the original Drake toy and the other part of me says it's a NECA toy - good luck with the random QC issues.
