The latest X-Men Battle Diorama Series statue is up for pre-order via Iron Studios. They have been pumping out the characters lately, and their latest is the Marvel Comics – X-Men Battle Diorama Series Archangel Statue. Like all of the previous items, this is a1/10 scale statue. It’s based on the is based on the previously announced X-Men vs Sentinel 1/10 Scale Statues (see all three of those massive statues in our Toy Fair 2020 coverage). The larger release features a number of X-Men characters fighting off a huge Sentinel. Each of the individual characters from the larger displays is getting a stand alone release. We previously shared photos and details for characters such as Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Rogue, Wolverine and more. You can display them on their own, or together to form a variation of the battle scene from the larger release.
The Archangel 1/10 Scale Statue stands nearly 16″ tall and is cast in polystone. It’s priced at $169.99. The statue is set for release in June 2021. You can see the photos, product details, and the pre-order link after the jump.

Recruited by Prof. X for the original formation of the X-Men, the mutant Warren Worthington III begins his heroic career known as Angel, for his great white wings developed in adolescence. At the event called ”Massacre of the Mutants”, Warren lost his original wings. Afterwords he was seduced by the villain Apocalypse who, after several genetic changes, transformed Warren by giving him blue skin and organic metal wings. He assumed the title ”Death” among the Knights of the Apocalypse. After breaking free from the villain’s control, he adopted the name Archangel (Archangel), and started using his new powers for good once again.

I really do not understand their pricing. This guy has wings sticking out, and he is priced at 169.99. Psylocke does not have such wings, and has the same size base. She gets priced at 169.99 too. What kind of pricing model does IS follow?
On another note, I am worried how well the base is going to support him. Given his wings and upper-body, that is a lot of weight, all supported by a metal rod (I assume) that will go through his legs into the base? That rod better be right through his upper torso too, or I can see it cracking over time.
