The “Emissary of Hell” known as “Supaidāman” is getting an official action figure release! Tamashii Nations has released official photos and full details for their upcoming releases based on the Spider-Man Live Action TV Series from Toei. The show, which ran from 1978 to 1979 in Japan featured a wildly different take on Marvel’s wall crawler. The show featured Spider-Man taking on a variety of monsters and creatures. When the enemies became oversized, Spider-Man would summon the giant robot Leopardon to pilot during battle. The new releases from Bandai include an S.H. Figuarts Spider-Man, a Soul of Chogokin Leopardon and Marveler Summoning Set, as well as a Super Minipla Leopardon.
The new S.H. Figuarts Spider-Man stands just under 6″ tall. It includes swap out head pieces, multiple interchangeable hands, swap out feet, a bracelet on his wrist, and an assortment of webbing effects. The figure is set for release in August. It’s priced at 7,150 Yen (about $65 USD).
The Soul of Chogokin Leopardon and Marveler Summoning Set features not only the giant robot Leopardon, but also a life size wearable summoning spider bracelet! Leopardon is fully transformable to the Marveler, and stands just about 6.7″ tall. It includes swap out hands, a figure stand, a Sword Vicker, a Spider protector, a small Spider-Man, a small Spider machine GP-7, and a Diecast spider machine GP-7. Finally, Leopardon also inludes built-in music and sound effects. Look for it to be released in September at a price of 22,000 Yen (about $199 USD).
Finally, the Super Minipla Leopardon is a small scale plastic kit and will stand a little under 6″ tall. It can be transformed from Leopardon to the Marveler. It’s due for release is august. It will be priced at 4,500 Yen (about $41 USD).
