Joining the updated Armored Lost Predator is the new Predator 2 – Scout Predator Ultimate 7″ Scale Figure. Photos and info has been released by NECA from Toy Fair 2020. The figure includes interchangeable hands, masked and unmasked portraits, smart discs, a blaster rifle, blast effects, and more. Look for the figure to hit stores in August.
Predator 2 expanded the universe that the original film touched upon, introducing us to new yautja such as the City Hunter and more importantly, the Lost Tribe that appeared at the end of the film. 30 years after its release, NECA is celebrating Predator 2’s anniversary with the return of each Lost Tribe Predator in Ultimate form.
The Scout Predator is given an upgrade with an all new body loaded with articulation, an assortment of interchangeable hands, and two heads, one of which is a brand new unmasked head. Other accessories include open & closed disc weapons, blast effect, a long range blaster rifle, and a collapsed version that doubles as a backpack.

NECA posted the following photo on Facebook today, obviously teasing an upcoming Ultimate Battle Armor Lost Predator. I've been waiting for this one for a long time, as the original figure is one of the best Predator designs NECA's ever released but was really held back by the limited articulation, especially in the elbows. I knew this announcement was coming based on that recent Comic-Con exclusive Yellow Lantern Predator that basically used the same body.

BTW, the hips on my original figure are mega-loose and I hope this is something that's corrected with the new figure.

Finally! Now I don’t have to waste money on the old one. Hopefully this one will come with an unmasked head.
Awesome even though I'd prefer the less armored movie version.
Hope they do them all . My lost tribe collection is mostly glue now. Not one is with out issue.
Actually, if you look closely, it appears that the visor is now an LED light! Woah!
While a cool upgrade, I hope there's an alternate head without the LED. I liked the honeycomb pattern on the original visor as well.
Oh nice, the design of this one is great. The futuristic looking armor with the awesome sword accessory made it stand out to me, and LED eyes are a great new addition for an Ultimate release.
Hopefully this one will be on display at NY Toy Fair.
Only Teasing, Teasing, no Progress at all.
What Happened with Ultimate Wolf Predator????
Is he still happening?
They Teased him 2018, and nothing happened.
That Production Speed from Tease to actual Release
is....inacceptable.
Maybe we will wait another 2 Years for
this Ultimate Lost to be released.
So the Lost Predator is a background character from Predator 2 but NECA designed the mask, parts of his armor and the accessories themselves, right?
Kind of funny how this one comes around the same year their first fully self-designed Predator design is being released as well.

Is kind of ridiculous how long this takes. My guess is they want to make more AvP2 releases like the Predalien etc. so they need dedicated space in their release window for that. The last time it was all about the new movie, now the Predator 2 and Predators anniversaries are coming up so those might take center stage for now.
But I don’t think Lost will face similar issues, I could see a full reveal at toy fair and a direct solicitation afterwards happening.

I will echo the disappointment regarding Wolf's severe delay, AVPR is a mess but I like Wolf and would definitely get his ultimate figure.
Neca has been teasing Wolf and the PredAlien for years now... i don't know what it is in their business/production model that takes so dang long but it's pretty irritating... I'm sure dealing with the studio- then the changing studio license- has slowed things down a bit, but it's been way too long already.
My body is ready! I've been waiting for an ultimate release. I'm hoping they have the ability to make his parts swappable to how he looked in the film as well as their fully armored version.
I will also express my disappointment on how long it's taking for Wolf but this new Battle Armor figure certainly makes me very happy.
A year to 2 year wait is par for the course when it comes to the Yautjas. Don't even get me started on the Kenner Xenos... 🥴
Thankfully I still have my Monsterarts Wolf, which while a bit on the buff side, fits right into my largely 6 inch collection and scratches the itch just right.
Some of y'all are sounding a little entitled. NECA does not have to give us anything. For the most part figures are released within 12 months of an initial tease. Just look at all the other stuff they teased and released last year i.e. Pinhead. Wolf was teased a while back but since then they've had a bunch of factory related problems which have held up their Alien and Predator lines. Combine that with anniversaries and new movies and you have the perfect storm for delays.
At one point we were getting 10+ Predators and 10+ Aliens per year then figures started getting delayed. The Capcom AVP figures were meant to drop in 2018 but got pushed back to 2019. The figures from The Predator and Covenant were given priority over other figures to better align with releases. The Alien 40th collection should have dropped in 2019 but instead got pushed back to 2020 and so on.
I imagine this year they're intending to give us a Predator 2 30th anniversary lineup (that's 11 predators). That's going to fill the entire years worth of Predators. While these are going to be rehashed predators they are likely going to feature a bunch of articulation improvements i.e. double jointed elbows secondary heads etc. This is also good for folks that missed out on the first run. I for one am keen to get a replacement Shaman. Heck if we're lucky they may even give us a Harrigan. Then it also looks like they may do Predator Hunting grounds figures ...
Add to that the Alien 40th lineup and it looks like the Alien/s quota is also filled. The alien lineup so far includes four figures two of which (Brett and Parker) are entirely new releases. Here's hoping they pull of a miracle and give us Ash and/or Dallas, Lambert and Kane with regular costumes.
AVP:R crosses both franchises so is likely being pushed into a year with nothing else going on. That is assuming they ignore the Aliens 30th anniversary which would be a good opportunity to give us Drake. The AVP:R lineup is otherwise a small lineup so can be knocked out in a single wave.
Just remember of all companies to tackle these franchises (regardless of scale) NECA has by far gone the furthest. Sure alot of it is repaints but for the most part there isn't all that much variance to begin with (That and it's no worse than Hasbro using that same old bucky cap body for every other figure). As someone who has mostly collected these lines i really can't wait for more and replacing my dated figures is certainly going to be worth that wait.
Honestly, I never noticed the Lost/Borg Predator at the end of Predator 2...he kinda got lost in the crowd, and it didn't help that the ship was dark and misty. Now that I'm aware that he's there, I can pick him out in that scene, but he's still a blink-and-you'll-miss-him kinda character.
You're deliberately bending my sentiment. There's a difference between wanting something and being entitled i.e. "That Production Speed from Tease to actual Release is....unacceptable." That is an example of being entitled.
There's plenty of figures we all want but at the end of the day we will get what NECA thinks is going to sell. I'm sure they pay attention to comments/feedback hence why we got a new Pinhead. I don't doubt they'll give us a Wolf but he's being held off for a reason.
I'd like a battle damaged Carl. The movie bombed so i along with everyone else who wants one won't get one. They've confirmed this via Twitter. I'd also like Harrigan but in reality an elderly man is likely going to be a shelf warmer. Demanding that NECA make one just to suit my desires is being entitled. See the difference?
Clearly they make their money with repaints and variants but everyone also bitches about that too
Oh wait, I don't think you understand that what you typed up above actually means "wanting something does not equal being entitled."
But if you DID mean that, then I agree, because nowhere in this thread is anyone demanding anything of NECA. They're just universally expressing disappointment and frustration that something they want has been delayed, that's all.
Complaining about an announced product that's been delayed several years without much of an explanation ≠ entitlement.
P.S. Why am I debating this with you? I didn't even complain about the Wolf delays so your post wasn't directed at me! Not that the delays don't annoy me...
Aaaannnd, for MORE exciting Lost Predator trivia, Stan Winston apparently cannibalized a previous creation of his - the cyborg protagonist from the low-budget 1986 flick The Vindicator - for the armor pieces used on the Lost Predator. If you look at the chest and gauntlets, it's blatantly obvious.
Good thing they showed the mask first then - if it was the torso armor we'd speculate about an Ultimate Vindicator now
Quite fascinating how some things work out. From a background character who reused parts from another movie to a fan-favorite action figure design. I said it once but I say it again: It's quite fitting that this one comes along (hopefully) the same year as Alpha.
