Available in stores now are the two Gremlins – Christmas Carol 2-Packs by NECA Toys. There are two releases, with one getting a general release, and the other getting a Target Exclusive release. Each set contains two Gremlins, with winter themed accessories based on the Christmas Caroling scene from the first Gremlins film. The sets sell for about $40 each. By collecting both 2-packs, fans can recreate the entire scene from the movie, as well as getting a few extra accessories in the process.
Our friends at NECA have provided us with each of the 2-packs. We have a full photo gallery and review of the sets. Check them out after the jump.

Overall
The Winter Gremlins 2-Packs come packaged in collector friendly window boxes. Each figure is held in the plastic tray with some plastic ties. The main set includes two figures, sheet music, a candy filled candy cane, a half eaten Gngerbread Man cookie, a hat, a scarf and earmuffs. The Target exclusive set includes two figures, two different scarves, two different hats, sheet music, a full Gingerbread Man cookie, and a candy cane.
The Gremlins figures included are based on the Ultimate Gremlin release from earlier in the year, and was also used as the figure for the Ultimate Gamer Gremlin. The figures are identical to those, and feature all of the same articulation and excellent sculpt work we’ve seen with those. The paint application is still crisp and clean, with no paint issues on any of the figures. The joints were all pretty solid here, with surprisingly tight shoulder and elbow joints. Nothing that required heating or anything, and the stiffer joints helped when having the figures hold the sheet music, as the arms weren’t moving around as you were trying to wedge in the booklets.
The biggest draw here are the new accessories. Each items is fully sculpted, with no fabric or cloth elements. The scarves and hats all look great. They fit nicely on the gremlins, and are sculpted in a way to fit snugly onto the figures, so they don’t come off or move around until you want them to. The caroling booklets are heavy card stock with glued in paper inserts. There is actual sheet music printed on the inserts. All of these accessories do add some extra weight to the Gremlins themselves. I would recommend using figure stands when displaying them, as the extra upper body weight will likely cause them to fall over after a bit.
For fans of Gremlins, or even those looking for a fun pop culture display for your holiday setup, the Gremlins Christmas Carol Sets are an excellent pick up. The figures are still fantastic versions of the Gremlins, and the accessories for a great representation of the film scene. Check out a selection of photos below, and the full gallery after that.
