In just 11 days, the Loot Launcher crowd funding campaigns for the new NECA Exclusives will end. There are two campaigns featuring NECA figures. First is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1990 Movie Box, which includes a Spirit of Splinter figure, a LED Campfire, and additional items. There is also a Gremlins Box, which features a Dress up and Play Gremlin. Like all crowdfunding campaigns, if these do not reach their goal, they will not be produced, and the backers will not be charged.
The TMNT campaign is sitting just over 70% backed. The Gremlins set faces a bigger battle, as that is at 13%. You can check out the individual campaigns below.

Loot Crate Exclusive TMNT and Gremlins from NECA

Ha, they're reusing Part 2 Jason's campfire.
Interesting. Would expect these to be Gamestop exclusives... Plus side, I called it. Was discussing with friends the use of Splinter besides a secret of the ooze remold (Splinter's head was more "wolfish" in later movies). Splinter @ fire and Splinter w/ musty recliner.
Well, I would have bought the Gremlins set if it wasn't a Loot Crate exclusive. I ordered from them once and it was an absolute nightmare.
I was a subscriber years ago, but not anymore. The issue I have with Loot Crate is that there may be one or two items you really want and then you’re stuck with a bunch of things you question why anyone would want. If I’m going to spend $50 on on anything I want know exactly what I’m getting, and if the main draw are these two figures then I doubt whatever else is included will live up to the hype.
Splinter looks neat enough. The Gremlin while a great figure on it’s own, is basically an afterthought with accessories that could have been put in an accessory pack.
The TMNT Crate will probably get funded, but 3000 crates will be a tough goal to reach. I wouldn’t be surprised if they release a trenchcoat Raphael this way. I also wouldn’t be surprised if the they gave it the same trench coat that comes with this “Dress Up Gremlin.”
I predict the Gremlin Crate will fail miserably, but anything is possible.
Backed both. Splinter will definitely happen, having a full box included helps the value. The Gremlin is way over priced so I don’t think it’s a home run but people love army building so I’m not too concerned
$50 seems expensive for these.

Less Than 2 Weeks Left For The Loot Crate Exclusive TMNT and Gremlins from NECA - The Toyark - News
Surprised Splinter doesn't seem like he'll make it. Gremlin never had a chance.
I think splinter will make it, but the other 5 look to fail. That is a rough start for this. There is very little coverage for this other than this site. Neca should just crowd fund figures. Not all the crap in those boxes. Neca usually has the pulse of fans but they are not targeting most of us with this. So whom is the target? Millennials? Teens? Old dudes? I have No idea what they are doing.
I think it's more about using this to release items that have little to no chance as a retail release. They only need 3,000 backers on each, and they're struggling to hit those.
I'm also sure that there's people who don't want to support Loot Crate either. Especially after they screwed with people prior to NECA buying them.
Straight up. Loot crate burnt alot of people. Most have no idea that NECAs parent company has since taken over so treat it as if it was run by its former owners. People commenting that loot crate still owes them one or more crates. It's not a good look. Further to that; since taking over they did the Tec-Shield Batman. I've seen numerous comments noting that they are still waiting for it to ship despite the fact it should have shipped October. Really bad start for the new owners of a brand whose name is already sullied.
Exclusive wise these have potential especially if the exclusive is not a repaint. Put up a movie April O'Neill and fans will be all over it.
I hate to say it, but I’m not surprised. I think the sad fact is that these figures just aren’t very desirable. One is a repaint and the other is a reissue with some underwhelming accessories given the exclusive nature.
Maybe the Splinter and Gremlin Crates would have sold better if they were SDCC exclusives, but as it stands there is not enough new here to warrant a $50 purchase and there aren’t even enough hardcore fans out there to make a program like this successful.
And if these figures are supposed to be the stars of their respective crates, then whatever else comes in it must be pretty underwhelming. That’s a hard sell especially when you don’t know exactly what you’re getting.
Maybe if the Splinter set cracks 95% before next week I’ll bite. As for the other Loot Launchers, it’s clear that this program has flopped hard which is sad because I really don’t like it when something from NECA fails. Speaking of which, is there any word on the status if the NECA Alien Club? Last I heard is the exclusive purple Kenner Alien was riddled with QC issues.

NECA themselves (meaning Randy and his team) are probably fairly hands off with Loot Crate. LC is technically owned by the owner of NECA (Joel Weinshanker), but isn't a part of NECA itself. NECA will have access to launch and offer items through there, but the day to day dealings are being handled by a different group of people.
I hope that both of these fail to meet their goals so that we can hopefully get a release from someone other than Loot Crate. It is an absolutely horrible company to deal with.

After a certain point, when items don't sell, we would get a reimbursement for the unsold product from the manufacturers. But the reimbursement required that the product be destroyed. It sucked, and I hated having to do that.
