Last week, we reported on a series of new license acquisitions from Boss Fight Studio. Those included some Sunday Morning Comics licenses, and their first anime license. If you missed that new, check it out Here. Today, they have announced three new licenses, including the new licenses for their Hero H.A.C.K.S. line. The new acquisitions include Zorro, Tarzan and Jane, and The Little Prince. Zorro will receive his own line known as the Zorro H.A.C.K.S. line, and Tarzan will be part of the Hero H.A.C.K.S. line up. The news comes via a press release at Licensing International:
Licensing Works!® Partners with Boss Fight Studio LLC For Figures and Collectibles Themed to Three Iconic Brands
Las Vegas, Nevada – September 27, 2019
Licensing Works! has licensed Boss Fight Studio to create collectible action figures for three of its iconic brands: Zorro®, Tarzan and Jane®, and The Little PrinceTM. The new lines will launch beginning Summer 2020.
While each program will feature Boss Fight Studio’s signature attention to detail, the assortments are tailored specifically to capture each brand’s unique heritage and appeal to its collector base.
As Zorro Production Inc.’s masked crusader celebrates his 100th Anniversary through August 2020, the all-new Zorro range is sure to feature the hero, his stallion Tornado, and supporting characters. Zorro figures will be released under the brand Zorro x Hero H.A.C.K.S, a new series of licensed products featuring “highly articulated character systems”.
Edgar Rice Burroughs, Inc.’s Tarzan and Jane will also appear under the Hero H.A.C.K.S. brand with the figures featured in classic jungle dress and accessories. Future plans include a signature representation of the duo Lord and Lady Greystoke.
Capitalizing on the upcoming The Little Prince animated series from the Antoine de Saint- Exupéry Estate debuting in 2020 and the brand’s popularity in literary and collector circles, the range will include classic 4” – 6” Scale Collectible Figures with Accessories, Scenery Elements and Vinyl Figures.
“At Boss Fight we have a true passion for delving into classic comic and movie brands. The Zorro and Tarzan properties are both exciting new additions to our HERO H.A.C.K.S. segment. We are over the moon to bring to life The Little Prince story as an all new collectible toy expression. We are very excited to begin this incredible partnership with the Licensing Works! team!” said Sarah Brown, Director of Business Development and Marketing for Boss Fight Studio.
“We could not be more thrilled to work with such an exciting partner on each of these classics,” enthused Leslie Levine, Licensing Works! owner and founder. “Boss Fight Studio is consistently launching the highest quality products catering specifically to old and new fans and we can’t wait to have them help us share each character’s story through their work.”
Boss Fight Studio at The Force Con 2019 - New Licenses Announced
Hägar the Horrible? I remember these comics. I doubt I'll buy figures of it but I'm interested to see how these turn out.
Also, Bleach? What? Kinda feels like a "One of these is not like the other"-thing considering what they've done so far. Or did they do anime figures before? Don’t think I’ve seen any.

Pics or it never happened.

Court of the Dead seems like it could be interesting
The King Features figures seems kind of random and weird. I feel like people are just gonna look at them and say 'that's cool, I remember that' and be on their way
The Sunday Comic Strip line sounded interesting at first, but I can't really see any of the ones listed selling very well. I know Calvin & Hobbes is off the table, which is a bummer, but what about Garfield?
Boss Fight Studio Announces New Licenses - Zorro, Tarzan and More - The Toyark - News
Tarzan? That's dope, I'll definitely be interested to see what they do.
Okay, Tarzan has me intrigued...
Kind of a weird depiction of Tarzan. You'd think if his skin was that bronzed by the sun, then his hair would also be pretty sun-bleached as well...
I'm all in for their Bucky O' Hare line minus repaints, I'll get Zorro and Tarzan if they are in 6" (1:12) scale.
I'm a big fan of the Gabriel Zorro stuff - it's one of those lines that's tough to put together and remains this oddity that I like seeing from the earliest memories of my childhood.
The NBS Zorro sort of makes me want to dig those older figures out...
Aren’t Zorro and Tarzan in the public domain? Why would a company need to acquire the licenses?

When I first saw the announcement on the front page I thought IT WAS the disney film since it said Tarzan and Jane which I thought the disney film was titled.
I'm pretty excited by these announcements. Court of the Dead; Tarzan and Jane and especially Zorro. I'm interested to see why his line is differently titled (Zorro X hero hacks). Hopefully we see something from this along with Flash (movie and other media) at Toy Fair 2020.
So it turns out Zorro is in the public domain, but there’s also a Zorro Production company that handles licensing. To avoid any hassle, most companies just negotiate with them. That is weird.
I'm in for Zorro. Clever of them since they now have horses ready. Might segue nicely into a Lone Ranger line.
