MAFEX Peter B. Parker Spider Man 001

Medicom has posted the product page for their upcoming Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse – MAFEX Peter B. Parker Figure. Like the previously announced Miles Morales MAFEX, this figure includes some fabric clothing, which gives some great display options. The Peter B. Parker Spider-Man Figure stands at 6.3″ tall. It includes two masked portraits, and two unmasked portraits, interchangeable hands, a hand with coffee cup, a removable jacket, removable sweatpants, swap out feet, a slice of pizza, a mask accessory, and a number of web effects. An articulated figure stand is also included.

The MAFEX Peter B. Parker is set for release in June 2020. The figure is priced at 8,800 Yen (about $84 USD). You can see all of the photos after the jump.

I can't wait for this figure. Everyone is shitting the bed about Spidey leaving the MCU, meanwhile the best Spiderman movie IMO is Into the Spiderverse, totally made by Sony. I say, keep'em coming.

I think my bigger concerns regarding Spidey leaving the MCU is the connective tissues and how those will be handled. On Peter's end I can easily a sequel to FFH that doesn't need to reach out to the rest of the MCU but on the MCU side it's going to suck having Peter just suddenly absent plus there's the matter that (minor spoilers ahead) he's Tony Stark's chosen successor. It's also worth remembering that while Into the Spider-verse was great and almost universally praised, Sony's last few live-action Spidey movies had mixed receptions at best.

I haven't seen the movie, but this stylization is strange to me. Peter looks so frail! Guess this is one for the watch list, judging by all the positive reviews.

Part of it is the stylization of the art. But the other part is that Peter is around 40 and not in a good place in life.

Best Superhero movie....ever? I loved it. Like jwyss234 says this version of Peter is out of shape and a bit of a mess, hence the 'fragility' you are detecting.

I’m fine with it, honestly. I just hope Sony doesn’t try to shoehorn Tom Holland into a Venom movie, or vice versa. MCU Spider-Man was a weak character. He was great in Civil War because it was a brief cameo. The Sony MCU movies were boring. Vulture was “evil pick N pull dealer” and mysterio was totally unbelievable crap. Hated both, and I’m normally the most forgiving fan of silly comic book films. MCU didn’t seem to know what to do with him outside of ensemble films.

As for the mcu void... don’t think it’s as big as you fear. Yes, tony stark is dead, but the mcu has moved largely away from terrestrial megalomaniacs to galactic and trans dimensional baddies, so ironman’s suits won’t be as effective, and stark r&d will probably continue behind the scenes. From the looks of things, Doctor Strange is the one that will be bridging the stories together of phase 4, and who knows if there will be a phase 5 because phase 4 holds zero interest for me. Marvel has jumped the shark for me, as I haven’t been enamored by a marvel film since Ragnarok. Black panther and captain marvel were overhyped by their social justice campaigns, and the infinity war/endgame movies were a pacing nightmare and felt like 90’s video game cutscenes, not a coherent, cohesive story. Hell, Aquaman and Shazam are better than the 2018/19 marvel flicks.

Back to Sony... hope they do more Spiderman cartoons. Really feels like a better fit for the character(s). Would love a cartoony take on either the clone saga or the Venomverse.

It's pretty obvious most people disagree with your assessments on MCU Spider-Man, which is fine because no one's opinion should be forced. I haven't liked a live action Sony Spider-Man film since 2004 because I thought SM3 and ASM2 were total dumpster fires while ASM and Venom were just okay. Even keeping Tom Holland I'm very skeptical that Sony's next film will work.

I'm with Webz. I haven't liked anything I've seen involving the MCU version of Spider-Man and don't really care one way or the other about the Sony/Disney bitchfest. Just don't screw up Spider-Verse 2 because I really wanna see Miguel be a big part in it.

As for the MCU except for Dr. Strange 2 I don't have any interest in the next wave of movies/shows. But having said that I'm really hoping since they announced Blade we start getting into the weird/mystical/supernatural stuff I loved growing up. LET'S BRING ON THE MIDNIGHT SONS!
