Available in stores now is the Alien 3 Creature Pack from NECA Toys. This add-on pack for their Alien 3 figures includes mix of creatures from the film, deleted scenes, and a concept figure. The set includes the Rottweiler Spike, who was unfortunate enough to come in contact with a Facehugger. Spike includes standard portrait and a damaged one. You also get the Bambi Burster, which is the smaller form of the Dog Alien. Next up is the Queen Facehugger, also known as the Royal Facehugger from a deleted scene in the film. Finally, the Queen Chestburster is included, which is what the Queen Alien would have theoretically looked like had it not been killed with Ripley at the end of the film.
Our friends at NECA have provided us with the creature pack. We have a full photo gallery and review you can check out. See them by reading on.

Overall
The set comes packed in a large window box, that shows off the figures nicely. There’s not much to the overall design here, as the packaging is fairly plain. The back showcases each of the included items. Each piece sits in the included plastic tray, and can easily be placed back in for easy storage.
The Queen Chest Burster and the Bambi Burter are both the stars here. Each has a fantastic sculpt and a nice amount of articulation. They’re fairly light weight, which makes balancing them fairly easy, especially with the tails are bendable. The Bambi Burster has a movable jaw, and has a removable inner jaw attachment included. That snaps into a small peg in the roof of the mouth with no trouble. NECA used some softer plastic for these thinner limbs. While I don’t tend to like this gummy feeling plastic, it does help to prevent joint breakage issues, and they do hold their positions rather well. Paint application on both Bursters is solid, with a heavy clear coat used to make them look nice and slimy.
Horror figure fans may recognize the body used for Spike the Rottweiler. It is the same one used for the dog creatures that were included with the Ultimate Freddy’s Revenge Figure. That body works well here, and allowed them to create an item from the film that otherwise might never have been made. With the dog being more of a highlighted inclusion here, I would love to have seen some articulation added to the legs. The two included head sculpts are excellent though. The standard head sculpt makes for a great generic dog that can be used alongside any 7″ scale figure.
The Queen Facehugger is the final piece included. It’s a fantastic sculpt, which was previously used for the Kenner Homage Queen Facehugger. This figure is based on a deleted scene where a massive Facehugger is found next to the carcass of an Oxen named Babe. When the decision was made to have the Alien gestate inside Spike, the entire sequence was removed. It can be seen on the Special Edition of the film. Outside of the film inspired paint scheme, there’s not much new with this piece. The legs are static, and the tail is bendable.
There’s a nice mix of items included here, which adds some great variety to the Alien Xenomorph ranks. The Queen Burster and the Bambi Burster are both excellent little figures. Spike and the Queen Facehugger are nice additions as well, but the two main creatures steal the show here. Check out a selection of photos below, with the full gallery after that.
