The outstanding looking Riobot Iron Giant Figure by 1000Toys is getting a re-release. The figure was a huge fan favorite when it hit late last year. The figure included interchangeable hands, two interchangeable head parts, interchangeable teeth parts, and a removable “S” symbol for his chest. The figure stands at 6.3″ tall figure cast in plastic and diecast parts. Big Bad Toy Store is currently listing the figure at a price of $119.99, with a release set for September.
1000Toys has also posted up photos, but no details, for a Riobot Iron Giant Battle Mode Version. The figure is shown with a gun attachment on its right arm, as well as red eyes. These features were not present on the original release. We’re awaiting further details and pre-order listings for the Battle Mode Version, and will update when we can. For now, enjoy some photos of both versions after the jump.

1000Toys Riobot Iron Giant Standard Version Reissue, and a new Battle Mode Version

Was about to pull the trigger until I saw he does not come with the extra head parts. Unfortunately I missed the first run.
Disappointed about the lack of accessories. Not happy about that. Still having both will be fun.
So I saw this go up for pre-order earlier this week. I thought it looked really neat, watched a few video reviews and was interested in picking one up, but I’ve never watched "The Iron Giant" before.
I did today. I cried. Twice. Goddamn what a fantastic movie. I wiped the tears off, and then pre-ordered this figure. I need to have it now.
The whole matter just reminded me how collecting can be a window to so many new experiences. You see a new piece pop up, try to find out where it came from and sometimes discover something truly special. The Iron Giant did that to me.
So yeah, I’m looking forward to getting the reissue now. My only gripe is that they’re making two versions instead of a "complete" one. While I agree that it can feel bad for people who bought the first release to be presented with an upgrade of accessories, this is no better as you still force customers to buy the figure again. Might as well make it complete for the new buyers.
That being said, I don’t need the weapons. I wouldn’t even take a completely transformed giant. Because he's not a gun. He's Superman.
6.3 inches?
kinda short for Iron giant, he should have been 9 inches minimum, ill pass.
