Pre-orders have been opened for the Mezco Designer Series (MDS) Deluxe Batman 1989 Figure from Mezco Toyz. The stylized 6″ tall figure is based on Michael Keaton’s iconic portrayal of Batman in Tim Burton’s 1989 film. The figure has 12 points of articulation, a fabric cape, multiple interchangeable hands, a grapple gun, and a batarang. Dang, am I the only one that thinks this is hilarious? I think it's a fantastic caricature of Keaton's Batman, and for only about $40 I'm probably going to pick this up.
Preordered. Absolutely love this, it's like a SD version of a Mort Drucker caricature.His over done lips along with the creepy movable eyes just cracks me up. I remember seeing a pic of an Adam West Batman as well. I'll be getting that one too.
I liked the look of the Adam West Batman, but there's something weirding me out about his lips.

This is just so awesome on a number of levels. It emphasizes everything that was just super kitsch with Tim Burton and Michael Keaton at that time.
