Hot Toys has updated with new details and photos for the upcoming Avengers: Endgame – Captain America 1/6 Scale Figure. When this was originally revealed, the figure had two accessories that were being hidden until after the “Spoiler Ban” was lifted by Marvel Studios. With the ban no longer in place, they have shared what those accessories are. Captain America will include a broken shield, as well as Thor’s hammer Mjolnir. The update also gives us a few additional photos of an updated unmasked head sculpt. You can see the new photos after the jump.
Avengers: Endgame gives us one of the most triumphant moments in the history of Marvel Cinematic Universe, when Captain America proved worthy to wield Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir, and blended his own tactical acumen with the power of the God of Thunder for a stunning fight against Thanos at last.
Dedicated in creating true-to-movie collectibles figures, Hot Toys is excited today to reveal the additional accessories that comes in the 1/6th scale Captain America collectible figure, also with an updated Captain America head sculpt that shares phenomenal authenticity.
These movie-accurate accessories featured in the 1/6th scale Captain America Collectible Figure are going to rock your ever expending Marvel display!
Avengers: Endgame - Captain America and Black Widow by Hot Toys

Having seen the movie, those two are instant buy!
Finally sculpted hair for Black Widow too.
I think I can guess the two additional accessories for Cap, and they should be great!
Definitely in for Cap, unmasked head and all the alternate masked faces are what I was really hoping would come with him!
edit. In the story photo, I really Kate McKinnon in Black Widow.
Having seen the movie, I think I know exactly what those "extra accessories" for Cap are.
Definitely down for Cap, but that Widow figure looks very good, certainly better than the one with the grey hair. Her suit looks better too.
On the subject of Hot Toys figures, what does anyone think the future holds for another figure of Thor? I gather that he's kind of a mess in Endgame. I passed on all the previous iterations for one reason or another, but if there's to be a new figure with head sculpt comparable to that of the 2017 Toy Fair Exclusive "Roadworn" Thor and body armor at least equivalent to that of Infinity War (e.g., the silver chain mail on the arms), I would jump on it...
Edit: Scratch that. I've seen the screenshots and have zero interest in any character who looks like a woolly mammoth.
Here's another question for collectors of Hot Toys and other 12" figures:
I see many listings online for alternate head sculpts. Are these things any good? Are they just fly-by-night bootlegs, or are some legit? I ask because I've often wished for a cinematic Cap figure with helmet modified to incorporate the classic tiny, polygonal wings set just above and behind the temples. I'm curious to know what people on the Ark have to say about this kind of thing.
How bad and financially irresponsible is it to start collecting hot toys? Lol. I usually shy away from 12" figures, but I caved the other night after seeing endgame and pre-ordered the Thanos figure. And plus the payment plans help lol.
But now I am seriously thinking about getting Cap, Widow, Ronin and possibly Captain Marvel but thats alot of dough. Plus these don't come out for like a year.
Since i'm super new to these, could someone tell me what the likely hood of these "selling out" would be? Like is that common or would these be pretty widely available come next year when these actually release? It's confusing because I see on BBTS all the endgame figures are sold out except for the super pricey Thanos and Iron Man. But the main SideShow site still has them all up for pre-order.
It's not irresponsible so long as your financial priorities are in order, i.e., you have some discretionary cash to spend.
I can't speak with any certainty, but suspect that BBTS deliberately holds back a few figures and updates the listing with their availability in order to manipulate buyer psychology, much like buying concert tickets, e.g., "I snagged the very last one / I got in just under the wire!"
But let's look at the situation objectively. Endgame made $1.2 Billion Dollars at the box office on its first weekend. Demand for these figures is probably going through the roof. Do you really think there will be major shortages for such a money maker?
It's tempting to get greedy and buy for that reason, a kind of pack rat / stockpiling psychology, but I'm resolved to buy a character ONLY because I really like that character. For example, it seems unlikely that we'll ever see Chris Evans as Captain America again, and his legacy is large, so I want to have his last figure for that reason alone, not because there will be any limit on quantity available. The fact that Sideshow still has lots available tells you all you need to know in that regard.
That's my rumination. Hope it helps. Anybody else?
Edit: I just checked, and see Cap AND Widow AND Nebula just became available again @ BBTS. You see what I mean about the appearance of stringing the collector along? I'm not saying they do it, but it just seems that way sometimes -- that, or some people just abruptly cancelled their pre-orders for all these characters, all at the same time, for reasons unknown.

Anyways thanks for the reply. I know this movie made a jackpot of money. Demand will be high. But on the other hand, I know plenty of people who are perfectly fine with a $20 Marvel Legends figure, or even a $70-$100 S.H.Figuarts figure of these characters. The Hot Toys price kind of secludes them to only a fairly specific group of collectors (IMO). I'm not saying I'm not buying these. I just was trying to see if I should jump the gun and pre-order all these now, or if I can wait it out till it gets closer to release if someone had experience and has been collecting Hot Toys for a long time.
Sorry for being unhelpful. Yes, it looks as though the hottest stuff is sold out for good at BBTS. However, if you strongly prefer to go through BBTS and get lucky, you might visit the pre-order listing at just the right moment to catch someone else's cancellation over the next few days.

I was going to order from BBTS, but they took too long to respond to a weekend inquiry, so now I have to go through Sideshow. I've ordered from them in the past, and they're reliable, but international shipping + duty to Canada adds another $100.00 or so.
Let me say this: if you've never ordered a Hot Toys figure before, you're in for a treat.

But like I said, almost until release, Sideshow keeps the preorders open. So I wouldn't be too bent out of shape by not preordering right away.
Once they do sell out, they become a bit hard to get for retail. Check eBay sold prices for examples. Some go way high, some are just a bit more than retail. Cap and Iron Man both get high typically.
Thats hot right there, need these

Plus like I mentioned, since sideshow offers discount codes and payment plans, is there a reason NOT to go with them? Seems like the best option.
And I see where once something is sold out it can rocket in price. I've been trying to find the Infinity War Thor for a decent price and just can't. Everyone charging $400 plus. Crazy. If they do an Endgame Thor, I just won't be interested in that version (without giving spoilers), so the Infinity War version is the one to get.
I currently have Thanos Endgame and Cap Endgame pre-ordered. I want to get the Endgame Deluxe Ronin, Black Widow, and Nebula, but just can't decide which to do now, and which to do later. Plus I wanna get the deluxe Captain Marvel as well. Possible Endgame Iron Man and War Machine but those are a bit pricier.
Avengers: Endgame – Captain America 1/6 Scale Figure Update from Hot Toys - The Toyark - News

YES! I'm actually digging the new cap unmasked sculpt. I think its miles above the old sculpt. Glad I got this pre-ordered through sideshow.
The 2 new accessories are cool. Everyone knew mojinir was coming, but idk about the cracked shield. And honestly, I guess it's good for posing if you have the Thanos figure as well, but I won't be using that accessory.
