The DC Collectibles figures debuting at Toy Fair 2019 have been revealed. As is customary for DCC, they have debuted an exclusive first look at the new lines ahead of the event. These images and details come via The Hollywood Reporter.
First up is DC ¡Lucha Explosiva! which re imagines DC Comics heroes and villains as Luchadores. The line, which launches in August, features masked wresting versions of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, the Cheetah, Metallo II, and Deathstroke. Pricing and size were not mentioned in the article.
The second assortment revealed is known as DC Prime. This new line, by artist Riccardo Federicci and sculptor Wonil Song, will feature another new size class from DC Collectibles. The figures will be highly articulated 9″ scale figures, complete with accessories and interchangeable parts. Batman is the first figure shown, and include three swap out heads, interchangeable hands, and weapons. Due out in October.

DC Prime and DC Luchadores Action Figures from DC Collectibles
Perhaps news of their demise was....premature.
I don’t know if I want them...but they are fun looking.
The lack of a Bane figure for this first lineup feels like a missed opportunity.
God damn it! No! What the hell, DCC? What happened to the Essentials you were so committed to? You can't even get out the Green Lantern that you announced IN 2017???
You better have more DC Essentials on display, or- well, I can't really boycott a company that no longer sells a single thing I want. But if they're not even releasing one of the figures they began the line with announcing...
I'm genuinely upset. I hope they announce more before I wake, or on display at the convention. DCC has let me down with their Arkham figures, their Designer figures, their movie figures and their Icons figures, all of which I committed to with my own money. If I'm being premature then I apologise for overreacting, but I've been burned so many times by the one company who has sold DC figures I actually like. It's aggravating.
If this is really everything, then I'll be glad to sell off all my DCC figures and make the jump to McFarlane. My wallet will thank me for the extra cash.
And until this moment I never knew I ever needed Luchador Superfriends...

Edit: Batman is 9 inches tall!?!?! Wow, what else are you doing that's stupid and terrible DCC?
These look super fun and they look good. I'll be getting them
They will still release all the previously announced DC essentials, right?
Who is metallo. Is he from the Batsman TMNT crossover
He's a Superman cyborg villain with a chunk of kryptonite in his core, usually where his heart would be.

Is that a multi-purpose cape that I see on Prime Batman? I'm sold
Bane is an odd omission.
Incredibly neither the Joker nor Harley Quinn are part of the line-up.
Larger scale means larger markup, presumably. I wish they'd stick with 1/12 scale, but maybe the larger size appeals to a broader market...?
Edit: I had to look up "luchadores" for an explanation of what it means. As a Canuck it leaves me cold.
9 inch line? They haven't even figured out how to work their 6 inch ones yet.
ha....these actually do look like a lot of fun...i like the wonder woman and cheetah..(who i thought at first might have been Vixen)
That Batman does look pretty cool! I doubt I'll get it, but it's neat. I'm wondering what Supes and Wonder Woman will look like. Cause honestly, that's probably as far as that line will get.
... the f*** is this?
$125 for the batman? Are they f***ing high?
What makes the folks at DC think their line is better than Mezco, SH Figuarts? Granted, this is 9 inches, not 6, but these match Play Arts Kai prices when their stuff was at its peak. What are they thinking??

Wow that line is gonna die fast.
$125!? This is why they should leave it to the pros (i.e. NECA).
