Alita: Battle Angel - 1/6 Scale Alita Figure by Hot Toys
I'd hope they would also release a manga inspired figure!
I'm hoping a company will release 1/12 figures from Battle Angel, but if I collected 1/6 stuff I would definitely pick this up.
Looking up the licensing for the movie. It looks like Funko (only Pops), Prime 1 Studio, Hot toys, Rubies Costumes, WETA (mini-figures), and Loot Crate are currently hold licensing agreements. If anyone else is going to jump in, such a Good Smile or Medicom, then Toy Fair is the best bet to see them.
I am liking how it turned out, so might by my first HT
Wish she came with some more weapons though!
I think this looks really good even though I'm still not a fan of them CGing a portion of Rosa Salazar's face when it wasn't necessary and the movie's version of the Damascus blade sucks lol
creepy. makes me think of that Uncanny Valley theory whenever i see her.
Looks fantastic!
Do kind of hope Good Smile does for Desktop army, but would love to see Spin Master or Mattel take a stab at it with either the Tron Legacy figure design team or the Jurassic World design team.
But with how unproven of a property it is, I'm not sure how much American companies want to bite on it for general retail outside of collectors. Hoping the hype is so strong that it does get looked into if the Box Office gains a sequel of it as a new franchise. And maybe if we're lucky we'll get something fantastic for the home media release like what Venom got but more articulated.
After seeing the trailers though, this seriously did have the potential of being a really big hit toy line that could have outperformed even Jurassic World and compete with some of the big leagues like Marvel potentially, but it is a really limited lineup. But hesitancy after how low performing Temrinator was, I can see why they wanted to wait first.
If anybody gets a chance to examine this figure, I would be curious to know if it can be made to hold a seated position, e.g., on the edge of a shelf. Regards
