The upcoming Wes Craven’s New Nightmare – Freddy Krueger 8″ Scale Figure has been fully unveiled by NECA Toys. They have posted up the product page with photos and full details. The new figure will include two interchangeable head sculpts, a removable hat, and a removable trench coat. The figure is currently set for a third quarter release. The seventh film in the Nightmare on Elm Street franchise took the iconic character in a more menacing direction – closer to Craven’s original intentions for Freddy. This 8” figure is fully poseable and comes with two interchangeable heads, a removable trench coat and removable hat.

That sweater makes him look like the Michelin Man.
The only thing I'm not digging on the sweater is the neck. It's just not accurate looking. But the puffiness of the sweater itself is fairly close to the movie for a clothed figure. I hope they refine that jacket a bit though, because the head sculpts are perfect and I'd like to keep him displayed with the jacket on.
Oddly enough, I like this figure more than the regular Ultimate release that came out a while back. The headsculpt on this one doesn't have that weird "staring off to something on the side" look in it's eyes.
