Super 7 Masters of the Universe Club Grayskull Wave 4 Revealing Soon

Posted on January 2, 2019 at 12:31 pm by Joe Moore under Masters Of The Universe Toy News

Next week, Super 7 will fully unveil their next assortment of Masters of the Universe Club Grayskull Figures. This will be their fourth wave of figures based on the classic Filmation MOTU Cartoon designs, and the fifth wave overall (including Mattel’s initial releases). The last assortment went up for pre-order back in October 2018, and has not yet been released. That wave included She-Ra, Mantenna, Fisto and Grizzlor. We’ll update when the figures are announced.

Outdated? Huh,go look up the motuc figures on eBay....then get back to us. Netflix has heman, she ra and the new she ra. Young kids are now finding out about motu.

I also read Brian from super7 said collectors choice wave 3 will be shown at toy fair, and we will all be happy and understand the wait. I am pretty stoked about that.

We should hear something on snake mountain soon as well.

Not sure how to take this. I am kind of tired from getting deceived by these guys.

I know it's wishful thinking, but how cool would it be if they somehow finally got the rights to make figures from the '87 Movie?

I am thinking this too. I’m trying not to jinx it though by hoping to much.

I think he meant outdated by the figures themselves. Have they started using ankle rockers, double joint knees and elbows, and wrist hinges?

I only have two Super7 MOTUC figures- Karg and Quake. Karg needed a newlt sculpted hand and it does have a wrist pivot- Quake- still using the standard MOTUC hand does not- Personally I wouldn't mind wrist pivots and rocker ankles but do not want to see double knees or elbows as that would too drastically change the look of figures in a collection I want to remain consistent with everything already produced. Now if they want to start over with a new 2020 Masters line with new builds from scratch then I'm all for a more articulated figure- but don't mess with my MOTUC.

Speaking of MOTUC, BBTS just posted a bunch of Matty collector stuff on their site. Just pre ordered Mumm-Ra at the original retail price.

Holy cow! You aren’t kidding. Horde troopers $18! I loaded up on some items. They have a lot of thunder cats and dc classics and even JLU 3 packs.

Yes, outdated as in, it lacks the proper articulation

    Understood now.

I don’t agree with that at all. Ankle rockers fine and are welcomed. Many motu releases have them. No on double elbows and knees. I have every release since 2008. I and most motu collectors want them to fit in with each other. The large muscles on these guys would make double joint articulations look odd and out of place.

Like someone else said. Start a new line if that’s the way forward. Don’t mess with the seemless collections we have had for over 10 years.

If we can at least get the movie version of BeastMan I'll be happy. Sure, Skeletor, Evilyn, He-Man, Man-at-Arms, Teela... they would be great too- but BeastMan (being just a costume) seems like an easy get...even if they have to call him something different due to licensing...)

So I have to order the entire wave...then I can order figures individually? Just making sure I'm reading that right.

Man, I'm not a MOTU collector by any stretch of the imagination, but I really want Roboto and Shadow Weaver. Any chance one of you guys ordering them individually would hook me up? Either that Or I've gotta brave ebay when they're released.

BTW, why are Stratos' lips taking up half of his fucking head? Was it like that in the cartoon?

If you don't mind the mark up BBTS is going to have them individually

Cartoon Stratos had a big mouth, but the lips? There's lines below his mouth but those might have been chin lines.

No love for evil warriors in this wave. Sure, EVIL HORDE, but they've been getting a lot of figure recently. Kobra Khan, Webstor or Whiplash should be in this wave instead of Modulok. (They can to Modulok later).

Odd to do Roboto before Ram Man, too.

Hmm, thanks for the heads-up. How much do they usually mark the MOTU figures up?

Weird. His lips look like suitcase handles on the figure.

That's the point. They are still using articulation that is over 10 yaer's old. It's time for an update. Haven't they already released every character in the Classic style? There's no reason why the Filmation stuff should not have updated articulation.
