Stan Lee 1922 – 2018 – May His Memory Be A Blessing

Posted on November 12, 2018 at 2:27 pm by Joe Moore under Marvel Toy News

The Toyark staff is heartbroken to learn that Marvel legend & pop culture icon Stan Lee has passed away at the age of 95. News reports have been pouring in with the news and the comics community is taking the news very hard. Stan Lee worked with numerous artists, such as Steve Ditko and Jack Kirby to help create some of Marvel’s most recognizable heroes and villains. Thanks to Stan’s numerous collaborations, we have the likes of the Fantastic Four, Spider-Man, Black Panther, Iron Man, the Incredible Hulk and more. So much will be written about Stan Lee in the days and weeks to come. We’ll simply leave you with one of his enduring quotes:

” I used to be embarrassed because I was just a comic book writer while other people were building bridges or going on to medical careers. And then I began to realize: Entertainment is one of the most important things in people’s lives. Without it they might go off the deep end. I feel that if you’re able to entertain people, you’re doing a good thing.”

Not surprising given his age, but still a major bummer. We owe this man so much for the culture and toys that so many of us enjoy today.

Also, no more Stan cameos in MCU movies.

I know he films them in advance and doing a few of them in a day. I would imagine Avengers 4 or Far From Home would be the last though since they're all wrapped.

Truly a sad day. Stan is responsible for so much of my childhood enjoyment. I truly shed a tear for his passing. I even had to go watch mallrats again just to see his cameo with brody ( one of my favorite movie scenes.
As for his cameos they can still digitally insert his likeness. As a tribute to stan....

Sad news but, I'm happy he was able to live a good long life and see his creations go on to have such a profound impact on the world.
I always liked this pic of him of him staring down Spidey.

We have lost a legend today. Mr. Stan Lee was a pioneer of his time, a creator of so many unique heroes that have inspired and enthralled so many people worldwide. His passing is a great tragedy to not only hard Marvel fans, but to anyone and everyone who has ever enjoyed his universe of heroes even once.

(Why do the saddest predictions always come true so soon… I don’t think I’m ready for an age of Marvel movies without a Stan Lee cameo.)

Goodbye, Mr. Stan Lee. May you rest in peace.

    Excelsior.

I just wished there was a bonus scene in an Avengers movie where Stan was dressed up as a janitor and was cleaning up after the final battle, finds Mjölnir and picks it up and cleans it and then have it fly out of his hand cause Thor called for it.

Now that is not to say all was great as Stan Lee did have his moments of questionable moral choices.
I've read some of the old grumbling allegations and anecdotes. What do they matter in the long run? The legacy left behind by Stan and his co-creators and colleagues is a thing of beauty, a manifestation of the growth and vibrancy and creativity and vision that made America great.

RIP, with sincere gratitude from Canada.

When I heard the news, it was a gut punch. My eyes started tearing up. Seriously, this affected me more than my own grandparents’ passings. I remember him introducing my Saturday morning Marvel cartoons as a kid,

I have phenomenal love for the man. He was a cheerleader for his trade unlike anyone else.
His energy and passion for the fandom was inspiring. A beautiful man.
