Posted on September 14, 2018 at 7:47 am by Joe Moore under Aliens and Predator Toy News

Reebok held a special launch party for their Reebok x 20th Century Fox DMX 10 Predator Sneakers. At the event, NECA set up a display of their Predator 7″ Scale Figures, which included a new figure and a few updated looks. Included is a first look at the fully painted Assassin Predator figure, and a Thermal Vision Fugitive Predator. New in-packaging looks include the Bad Blood Predator vs Enforcer Predator 2-Pack and Predator Series 18. Click the headline of the story for the images.

The Assassin Predator is looking good, but I hope he has an alternate closed mandible head so he is not always roaring on the shelf.

The Poster Thermal Vision Fugitive Predator looks really eye catching, leagues better than the Thermal Vision Dutch, which in hindsight, also should have used a translucent blue body as a base, but I really hope that this isn’t the other teased figure in this line for the new movie. I also hope it doesn’t end up being a “more cash for less accessories” Gamestop exclusive either, because let’s face it, as nice as The Ultimate Fugitive Predator is (and it’s really nice) it just doesn’t come with much in the way of accessories, just an extra head some forearms and blades. (based on the trailers alone it doesn’t appear Fugitive even has wrist blades for each arm,) plus I really don’t like the big gaping holes on his gauntlets which I’m sure won’t look like that in the movie. Under the “Ultimate” banner this figure really should have come with a separate bio mask accessory and two extra forearm guantlets minus the gaping holes.

As it stands, the Fugitive Predator is a REALLY good figure but it’s another one that should have been a more reasonably priced standard release. I’m really getting tired of paying extra for what amounts to a shiny box, for what is otherwise a standard figure inside.

With that said, this is a pretty fantastic showing and let the record show that I still love everything NECA has shown thus far and Icwill likely be buying multiples of each figure they release for The Predator 2018.

just saw the movie very much like avp, OK story depending on how you view it but make good action figures. the only thing i want here is the upgrade and maybe the thermal vision fugitive. The suit revealed at the end of the movie would make a great figure too.

Seriously why is it so hard for people to NOT spoil things from a movie that just came out? I just got back from seeing it and I thought it was decent and funny.

But I’m not gonna sit here and spoil anything though lol.

I just saw it too. I think of it as basically a parody, noisy and entertaining, but without the hard-SF 'edge' that made the original fantastic.

I'd rank this one 3rd after the first two movies in the franchise.

I still wish the predator looked more like the original. And there's an in-your-face nod to the genetic transference concept from Alien 3 that's just lame.

I saw it last night. I'm sorry to say that it was fucking terrible. Easily the worst Predator movie ever made...it made the AVP movies look like Shakespeare in comparison. The plot was terrible, the script made almost no sense in parts, bad dialogue was in abundance, almost all of the characters were completely unlikable and annoying, and even the editing of the film was confusing and poorly done. It was just a really, really bad movie.

I love the Predator character, and I'm willing to forgive quite a bit, but this is just a bad movie, plain and simple. Even the ending, which was completely reshot after test audiences shit all over it, was absolutely terrible.

I'm not telling people not to see it, because reviews have been very mixed, but just go in with very low expectations.

That's a really good point...I missed that aspect of it too, since the technology and gadgets are very central to the Predator character. This movie felt incredibly stripped-down and basic in that regard.

Is the Predator in the movie at least cool? Requiem was a pretty big pile of meh but at least Wolf being a total badass more than made up for it.

Nope...I noticed them too...I had just given up caring since these have been shown off (and in my case...preordered) for about a year now with no word as to when they will actually be coming out. Same thing with those AVP arcade video game Xenos and Preds...

I'll try and catch a matinee by myself next week- was never thrilled with Shane Black getting involved (Hawkins or not- he'll always be shit to me for IM3) I have a high tolerance for what most people think are crap films anyway (yup- I enjoyed both AvP and after Predator, my favorite in the franchise is Predators... really wish we would have seen that story continue)

I thought Predators was solid and would've loved to see a follow-up but I'd have to put Predator 2 ahead of it.

AvP was alright and like I said Requiem was a load of meh but thankfully the lead Predators in both movies made up for both of them. I will say though the end with the Queen in the fist AvP was pretty cool.

I saw it this morning. It definitely suffered a bit from editing, but overall I liked it. It was just good fun. It never took itself too seriously, which I appreciated. It definitely opened the door for more movies, even though I probably won't ever see them, since they will be owned by the evil D.

Oh, he's pretty cool, alright. But unfortunately - and for a reason I'm not going to spoil - he's not in the movie nearly as much as you'd hope.

I'm getting seriously pissed about the insane delays plaguing NECA's AVP Arcade line. At this point they're well over a year late, and I want those fuckers NOW.

Think I already know what you mean. There was a particular poster that while awesome looking gave it away some time ago.

Yup, you're 100% correct. It turns out that poster was indeed a HUGE spoiler. And unfortunately it happens way earlier in the movie then you expect.

Absolutely, I agree: it's garbage. But it helped me to cope and feel a little less let down and sound positive by pretending that it must be a PARODY. Certainly, I would not waste another moment of my life watching it again, and regret feeding the beast by paying for a theatre ticket. The same goes for the AVP crossover movies.

It's strange how often great ideas get scooped up by sub-par showrunners and turned into something awful. Just look at what they've done to Transformers. It's as if Hollywood has a deliberate agenda to spoil anything good. About the only recent exception that I can think of is the Marvel movies leading up to Infinity War.

Can someone ask them please to do the Killer Armor Predator????

I enjoyed the Movie so much.

I do not care if this was an Iron Man Parody
It was an very Awesome scene.

I always loved Transformers, Iron Man and Predator...
so: Iron Man + Predator = Predator Killer Armor = Awesome

Really would like to see such a Figure with that huge Badass
    Laser Cannons on the Shoulders.

To bad that this Armor was not seen in Action during the Movie.

Imagine the Fugitive Predator was no match for Mega Predator, jumps into the Suit and kills the Mega Predator =
THAT would have been an awesome scene.

So sad the Fugitive died so fast :-(
